  • "Has God Spoken",by Hank Hannigraf, tears all this to shreads. If you don't repent of this idiotic attack on the Most High God in Jesus Christ, you'll be on the bench with your buddy Dan Brown for his equally weak attempt to smear his Judge in the DiVinci Code. Atheism/agnosticism can be smashed this side of the grave to a seeking heart that is ready to see.Ask God to reveal Himself to you! Then be ready, but you gotta do it from a humble spirit.Nobody is smarter than the Creator.Nobody.

  • Are Muslims taking into consideration that this man is an atheist? Is that really who they want as an advocate of sorts for Islam, an atheist? If so, do they actually think Ehrman would say he believes in the Qur’an? In Ehrman's learned opinion, he doesn't think the Qur’an is even worth reading, much less researching.

I would never rely on the words of an atheist, no matter how much of an expert he is.

  • @metallicstucco Ehrman's not an atheist but an agnostic and Ehrman is not a scholar of the Quran but of the Bible and early Christianity. Muslims believe that the original message of Jesus got changed and Ehrman provides evidence to what Muslims already believe.

  • @Nazam44 Not sure if you have discovered it since your posting of this message, but if you do not believe in god you are an atheist. agnosticism does not mean undecided as in 'yes/no'. Atheism means undecided.

  • @metallicstucco How very traditional Muslim of you to "shoot the messenger", and not just literally this time. It is a KNOWN LOGICAL FALLACY to conclude that something is not factual because one can attack the author. See "ad hominem fallacy".

But, more than that... what kind of sick person only wants to hear from people of the same ideas and background? Listen to Islam or Christianity and you'll hear a message of hate. Listen to Science and you'll hear fact -- updated as we learn more.

  • @metallicstucco

May i add .. Ehrman was a serious christian..a very practicing christian ..he only discovered christianity is a sham and the bible is fake ..it is not God's word..it was written by UNKNOWN authors ..even Paul and Mathew didn't write them..look at their covers and every one of them says " ACCORDING TO " ..... he denounced christianity after ho found out what a joke it was .but he is no atheist .

  • @Nazam44 Well, why don't you?

  • @Aeschylus Christopher Hitchens is a Liar, and i've heard from my own ears how he distorts Islamic history. Next time point someone who is reliable, and how depends on someone who was reliable.

  • @bcgonynor The Quran is different from the bible, first we received it orally, to the point that around 10 million people today memorized the Quran, as well I believe every Muslim memorized a portion (small or big) to recite during prayers. The other thing is we do have a Quran around 100 years or so after the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon hims death. That seems like a bad thing but it actually isnt, we had companions (similar to the disciples) that were still alive from that time.

  • @bcgonynor You fail to provide evidence for two of your statements: "...apply the same rigorous analysis to the formation of the Quran, it would fare just as poorly." and "This is an attitude unknown to the Quran, where the command is not to reSEARCH but to reCITE." The latter shows you know little about the Qur'an: if there is one thing that Qur'an asks you to do is to ponder it's meaning, understand it, explore it - not just recite it. How do you put it into practice without understanding it?

  • @bcgonynor not only did I apply this principle that you are speaking of, "textual criticism", but i looked at all of the numerous european scholars over the course of centuries who not only applied textual criticism but also went to the areas, and studied to try and disprove the religion. Islam won. Islam converted a scientific skeptic. And all the praise and thanks belongs to God for that.

  • @bcgonynor As far as I can tell, Nazam44 is agreeing with you- analysis of the Qur'an leads to a very similar conclusion- the Qu'ran is not the word of God, and not trustworthy as a source of scientific knowledge, spiritual truth, or history. However, this kind of analysis is harder to do- early Islam learned from the errors of Christianity and did a much better job covering its track as it went. Doctrinal hygene like this makes a deep analysis difficult.

  • @ideologger The Quran is not a source of scientific knowledge, rather it either has points that are not contradictory to science, or it does indeed have scientific knowledge, Spiritual truth? You have to be kidding me. History is out right wrong. The Quran corrects the bible on historical truths that they got wrong. for instance in the story of Joseph (peace be upon him) it was siad his leader of named pharoah in the bible but in the Quran his name was king which is historically correct because

  • @ideologger at the time and era Joseph was living Egypt was conquered by another king from another land and there was no pharoah.

  • @FATAL12SKILLZ Actually, it doesn't matter who was the pharaoh at the time because all the latest historical and archaeological research points to the fact that the israelites were never in Egypt at any time, but were a canaanite tribe which never left Canaan, which was, at that time, a part of the Egyptian empire, extending up past Galilee, as far as the southern border of the Hittite empire.

Therefore, there was no Joseph, no Exodus, and therefore no Moses.

  • @HonestMan395 What do you mean no Joseph or no Moses? There is evidence however that the Pharoah of Moses was found and how was he found? It was seen that the pharoah was drowned but he was still preserved. As well, there is archaeological evidence for the Exodus, the so called "known" place of Sinai isn't actually Sinai, Sinai is in Hijaz and this is known because the Sinai desert was actually considered to be part of Egypt. If you actually go to the real location of Sinai you will see the...

  • @HonestMan395 the 12 palm springs, a split open rock, burnt offerings (Muslims don't do burnt offerings) and many other things that allude that there was a group of people there.

  • @FATAL12SKILLZ A group of people where and what are your sources for these assertions, bearing in mind that I will only accept bona-fide independant archaelogical and historical sources.

  • @HonestMan395 baseinstitute(dot)org/images/stories/article_pdf/biblereviewmagazine(dot)pdf

as well check out this on the pharoah

    /watch?v=Onp2Tq4pRmk

Well there isn't any bonafide archaelogical and historical sources about we came from a monkey ancestor but everyone seems to believe it.

  • @FATAL12SKILLZ 4. quote: “Well there isn't any bonafide archaelogical and historical sources about we came from a monkey ancestor but everyone seems to believe it.”

There’re over 240,000 peer reviewed publications giving verifiable evidence for evolution. How many peer reviewed publications are there to prove the bible or the Qur’an?

Oh yes! None at all. But because they are supposed to be the word of god, we’re supposed to believe them without proof?

    fantastic claims demand fantastic evidence.

  • Nice job on freezing the video at his description of the Parable of the Fig Tree, the rapture story, as told by Jesus.

  • BURN THE EVIL BIBLE

  • Copiers in the times of Jesus didn't need to read the text. They were teached to draw the letters even if they couldn't read the text. They were human-xerox-machines. The best copiers would the the ones who couldn't read the text. If the copier reads the text it's likely to render an interpretation of the text instead of the original wording.

  • @bcgonynor Jesus gives a description of himself "my hair is like lambs wool and my feet is like burnt bronze".Lamb hair in Mideast is mostly black and burnt bronze is self explanatory. The Church made Jesus white, blonde and blue eyed. Can you imagine Germans Dutch, French, British and rest of Europe idolizing any other color apart from WHITE.Did Catholics ever had a black Pope..We have seven different types of recitation of the Qur'an but text is as revealed and transmitted by Holy Prophet

  • @Hussain601 What does this have to do with what I was talking about? If a homeless witch doctor named Yeshua ben Joseph did live in first-century Palestine, I imagine he was an olive-skinned, dark-haired Sephardic Jew. But I couldn't really care less. Doesn't affect me at all. Yes, Christian art has generally depicted Jesus as a European. Whatever. The Quran and Hadith were assembled after Muhammad's death by Abu Bakr from disparate oral accounts. Play the telephone game sometime. It's a joke.

  • @bcgonynor . Qur'an was written down during the life time of holy Prophet but not as in form of a book. Caliph Abu Bakar gave some Hufaaz on request of some traitors whose intention was to finish those who memorized the Qur'an. Its prompted Umar to beg Abu Bakar to preserve it in Book Form The Hadith is very clear on what is genuine or good action or weak. If the Bible or the Qur'an do not concern you Stay on the tree and swing from to branch. Be a Tarzan I am Serious No Joke

  • @bcgonynor Unlike the Bible, the Holy Qur'an was in the hands of people from day 1. The Qur'an was then and now memorized from cover to cover by many Muslims .Lets for arguments sake hide both scriptures in and ask our learned men to produce the entire book in its original form. We will have thousands of copies of the holy Qur'an. The Bible was in the hands o few mostly Churches and thus you have whats called Theology. The Church wanted to teach its own version of Jesus's preaching. .

  • 1John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

  • video halts for me at 34:24ish anyone else?

  • @9045732 yeah me too. Brother Nazam, this stops at the first third of the video :( what's wrong??

  • @Nazam44 Aeschylus means that it is an attempt of refuting one fictional book to validate other, equally fictional book. This video does not make quran look any more credible

  • Therefore, Islam is the right extension of the Christianly

  • Hey everyone.

Anyone who enjoys lectures from Bart Ehrman ought to have a look at the youtube channel called "EhrmanProject"

    or

    EhrmanProject (dot) com

Hope you all enjoy the ongoing discussion there about the ideas Bart has promoted.

  • Sounds like the bible changed over time through small random changes that were passed to future copies during its reproduction...

  • CHRISTIANS RARELY READ THE BIBLE. THEY ONLY READ THE PASSAGES THEIR PREACHERS TELL TO READ. IF YOU READ THE BIBLE YOU CAN'T HONESTLY FOLLOW IT. CHRISTIANITY IS AN INSULT TO BASIC HUMAN INTELLIGENCE.

  • @glower125 you heard this where? evolutionist rarely read science books if they had theyed realize darwinism is more pseudo science than an exact science. cannot be tested cannot be duplicated cannot be observed not science

  • @bcgonynor The Qur'an has already been applied just that, and it has already passed the test aeons ago. The compilation of the Qur'an and the formation of the Bible have different diverging histories and traditions, so to apply Biblical textual criticism on the Qur'an is not accurate science, because the Qur'an was not written down by scribes, it was thoroughly memorised and put into writing at the same time.

  • @menj1980 Yes, of course, because memorization is so reliable. I'm sure that Uthman remembered everything exactly right. And I'm sure that all the obvious agglomerations and corrections, like the command "Say" at the beginning of so many paragraphs, are just coincidental. In the words of Omar Khayyam, believe that too...

  • Ehrman is strengthening the case for Islam.

  • the synoptic gospels do not contradict but instead compliment each other There are some minor mistakes but they all dont have the same mistakes So by comparing the thousands of manuscripts we can get back to the original copy. Please dont be fooled by the sensationalist trying to sell books on amazon. Dr Erhman use to be a Christian but he learned that skeptical books sell more than Christian books so he switched sides $ENSATIONALI$M people WAKE UP!

  • @2black4bet

Spreading your fail to other pages I see..

  • @bdwilson1000 yes im everywhere exposing Dr Ehrman as the fraud he is

  • @2black4bet

Like it or not friend, Ehrman is telling the FACTS as taught in every major seminary in the world. This stuff has been known by scholars for over 100 years. Ehrman is just the first to "let the cat out of the bag" and inform the mainstream public about the problems of the NT. I'm sorry you are bitter because your magic book is not flawless, but that is no excuse to defame someone.

  • 2000 yrs this guy is going to disprove the only book in our human history that has stood the test of time Man you really have faith in this guy did you take his class Did he give you an A+lol Dont be fooled by the $ensationalist Dr Ehrman knows the truth its written on the conscience of his heart he doesnt need the NT to match word for word He has a book to sell did you buy into that as well? In 2000 yrs the bible has stood the test of time I give evolution 50 before they give up n stop DIGGIN

  • I can hear a voice from Heaven saying: "This is my beloved son, hear him!"

I can even hear the voice of some Christians saying: "Did our hearts not burn within us as he opened up the scriptures to us...truly this is a man of God."

  • it freezes up at the 34:15

  • @Nazam44 Saying "god told me the religion I'm plagiarizing is corrupt" doesn't make the plagiarism valid.

  • Fascinating. Thanks for posting!

  • I am a male. If you deliberately call me a woman after I have clearly and repeatedly written down that, i am a male, YOU are a JERK and shame on you.

    FATHER is not mother !!

Bart evidently has deep seated Father issues, he needs to deal with.

  • I just tried to put some critical comments on a William Lane Craig lecture ( the sloppiness of Ehrman), but was banned from doing so. Only positive comments get the ok.

    Go Figure.

    Very frustrating!

  • @bonnie43uk So how did u get this posted if u are banned?

  • @I typed a comment on that particular video ( the sloppiness of Erhman video), not this one. It blocked me.

  • @bonnie43uk O Sorry to hear about that

  • @Nazam44 Sounds more like Bonnie, a very learned biblical scholar in her own mind, posted some typical apologetic name calling and got bounced.

  • @bonnie43uk I made the same experience over and over again, Christian videos have a censorship of at least 50% vs. around 2 % in Atheist videos. And even if you are allowed to leave a comment, there is a good chance that it gets deleted if it is not conform to the (Christian) posters opinion. May science bless you!

  • @immunetocommonsense Thanks. another thing I've experienced with christians, ..quite often I've typed a long message to them on Youtube, .. pressed "send" .... then i get a block, saying "You must be friends with this person before this message can be sent"!!!! That is very annoying.

  • @bonnie43uk "Only positive comments get the ok." this is common with christian, and creationionist posts. They don't tollerate critisism.

  • @bonnie43uk

Yep. Christians don't want their beliefs challenged, they want them confirmed. Criticism is NOT something they tolerate unfortunately.

  • @MrJohndl Yep. Christians don't want their beliefs challenged, they want them confirmed. Criticism is NOT something they tolerate unfortunately.

Okay, point out one specific contradiction from the bible listing the verses, chapters in question. I will consider your verses and provide a reply to your crticism.

  • @bonnie43uk. I also tried to post at drcraigvideos on that series of videos and got blocked. drcraigvideos is a fanboy of wlc and will block you if you post a couple of dissents. wlc took ehrman's sensible observation that the more independent attestations you have of an event, the more believable it becomes, and tried to twist it to mean that ehrman was trying to compare 2 different events and refusing to consider considerations other than the attestations; obviously a ridiculous misreading

  • Ehrman is an unmitigated fraud. His so-called "research into the discrepancies and contradictions" of the Christian scriptures is nothing more than a warmed-over retread of the higher criticism of the German schools of the 18th and 19th century. This leads me to believe that those who now hail Ehrman's banal rehashing of an outdated philology as fascinating and seminal are either disingenuous haters or intellectually bankrupt poseurs suffering from a bad case of scholarly amnesia.

  • Copying errors are all you need for evolution. You have reproduction, mutation, variation, and natural selection all at play right there. o.0

  • speculation. Speculation, SPECULATION ; Ad infinitum !!! Geez is this guy for real ?

Or did somebody do this as a joke ?

  • @marklmansfield "speculation. Speculation, SPECULATION " yup. because there are no confirmed eyewitness accounts of the biblical events. AS Bart says, god didn't bother to preserve her words.!

  • Thanks to Nazam44 for posting this - I am a huge admirer of Dr. Ehman. My thanks to Dr. Ehrman for opening the world of textual criticism to the layman.

  • It is amazing to me how so many Muslims seem to take the imperfection of the Bible as a nod to the verity of the Qur'an. The weakness of the one does not make the other any stronger - each is equally prone to mistakes and human error.

  • the more I see the Guy, The more I wonder why he isnt studying the Sciences of Hadeeth in Islam....He surely, would find it amazing, especially how the authentic reports have been preserved through history.

  • @salalite The Quran is just as man-made as the bible, it has no historical clams that are better than the bible. The Quran was NOT even begun complied until after Prophet's death in 632.

Abu Bakr said in 633; "I started locating the Qur'anic material and collecting it from parchments, scapula, leafstalks of date palms and from the memories of men"

Uthman's 1st real collection in 653, he then destroyed all the old versions, preventing us from knowing the real source material.

  • @ManchuDan22 .Have you even read the Quran before?? How do you explain how the Original Text has been preserved all thru the years?? The Quran is so profound, No translation can do justice to it...but It (the Translation) should be enough to convince you of its originality!

  • @salalite Yes, I have read the Quran, the Hadiths, and the Sharia. My question is have YOU? You seem very ignorant of your own religion. There are many variants to the Quran, all Islamics Scholars agree on this, have YOU STUDIED the Quran?

Ubayy, secretary to Mohamed, substitutes "pardon" for "punishment", Ibn Mas'ud, in 57:13, subs. "patient" with "to wait" or "to delay". The "Seven Letters" hadith has 40 interpretations.

The Quran is just an interesting book, not divine from god.

  • @ManchuDan22 Am aware of the different Qirahat (forms of recitation) of the Quran, and this different Qiharats, whereever they appear, do not contradict but complement each other to give a wider meaning to the Ayat, like the verse "Maaliki Yaumi Deen"...I am a seeker of Knowledge and am convinced beyond doubt of its infallibilty...ALLAH Ta'ala has instructed to say (to pple like U) in Surah Baqarah #111: " Produce your proof if you are truthful."May ALLAH guide to what to the Haqq(Truth)

  • @ManchuDan22 LOL YOU ARE A LIAR. I BET YOU HAVE NOT READ ANYTHING. I AM SURE YOU HAVE VISITED ANTI ISLAMIC WEBSITE. THAT'S IGNORANT. YOU HAVE BUSTED YOURSELF WHEN YOU MENTIONED YOU HAVE READ THE "SHARIA" LOL, NOBODY READS "THE SHARIA". I BET YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, BUT THAT'S OK, STAY IGNORANT.

  • @glower125 FOOL, do you think typing all caps makes your silly, ignorant comment any better? Or are you just too lazy to take off the caps lock?

"NOBODY READS "THE SHARIA" Really, then how do they understand the Path or Shar'iah, or more properly Al-Shari'ah? How do they READ the precepts in the Qur'an, and READ the examples of the Prophet in the Sunnah? The men who achieve attadris wa 'l-ifttd ("license to teach and issue legal opinions") do so by READING. You're an IDIOT! Embarrass Islam!

  • @salalite "How do you explain how the Original Text has been preserved all thru the years?" Like all ancient texts, the Qur'an is just as subject to this concept as the Bible, Aeneid, The Epic of Gilgamesh, or any one you choose. I believe you when you say that it is profound. I am often stricken with wonder as I study literature.

  • If you don't want to hear the intros, skip to 3:45. :)

  • @datalal624 Better yet, go to Google vids. This video is broken.

  • This match with Islam

  • Still with the freeze-frame at 34ish though the time counter keeps going. Oh well, lets see if its on video.google

  • Christianity is false. Since Sir Wallis Budge's translation of the Egyptian Book of the Dead it has longed been proven that the bible characters, stories and meanings where taken from the Egyptian papyrus which is reproduced by Romans and the so-called Hebrew writers under their own ethnic and racial identities with myths and allegories.

  • @caribbeandiaspora Wrong THE CHRISTIANITY OF TODAY is false not the one of Prophet Jesus pbuh time, lol, no proof that the 3 arbrahamic religions stem of egyptian charecters, lol mere speculation

  • Jesus or Christus(os) is an adaptation of an earlier Christian Christos named Serapis. He is the depiction of the Greek pharaoh Ptolemy l aka Soter (ca. 283-367 B.C.E.). The native Kemetian(ancient Egyptian) refused to deify him, but compromised on an image called Serapis(ca 350 B.C.E) aka Christus. Serapis from Osiris and Apis the bull. The worshipers were called the bishop of Christ. It is important to know that this is pre-christianity and there was no Jesus at this time

  • Awesome book!

  • See Jesus Christ, Silvio Gesell, 1862-1930. Watch the videos on youtude and see for yourself.

  • I have investigated a few, but not all, of his claims that the Bible contradicts itself and he is definitely wrong.

  • @redeemer401

There are hundreds of contradictions in the bible. Check out this video: /watch?v=RB3g6mXLEKk

  • @bedtechs There are hundreds of contradictions in the bible. Check out this video: /watch?v=RB3g6mXLEKk

The problem with many people is that they listen to what other men tell them to think and to say. If one actually reads the Bible and uses their intellect one clearly sees the Bible does not contradict itself. In the case of Ehrmann, he is in need of grant money and one good way for an academic to acquire money is to create controversy. I suggest you learn to think for yourself..

  • @redeemer401 If one actually reads the Bible and uses their intellect one clearly sees the Bible does not contradict itself"

    What year was Jesus born?

  • @redeemer401

Speaking of not being able to think for oneself is kind of hypocritical don't you think? I don't need to listen to what anyone tells me because the words of the bible are printed right there on the page. I can see the contradictions in black and white. You denying that they aren't there doesn't make it so. Did you watch the video I posted or are you just filing it under "facts that cease to be true if I ignore them?" That seems to be common with you religious types.

  • There are 50,000 errors in the bible. How can this book God's words? Theives corrupted the gospel. So God sent prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. But christian (some of them) choose to be atheists or agnostic instead of handling the truth.

  • Ehtman does not realize the painstaking process the Hebrews went through to copy manuscripts. They cross reviewed each others copies and if EVEN ONE MISTAKE IN ONE LETTER was doscovered, the copy was discarded and begun again from the start EVEN USING A DIFFERENT QUILL.

  • @davidrstarr Yet in the Qumran among the dead sea scrolls, there were some differences of manuscripts. Some are closer to Septuagint in their way, some are to Samaritan OT etc.

  • The rest of the talk is available in its entirety if you search for " Misquoting Jesus, Stanford Lecture, How Bible Got Tainted 1/10 " and go through the numbers until you find where this one leaves off.

  • I wa sintrigued by thid video but at 24.40 it stops playing and the video itself is fully loaded. I don't think this video is popular with the establishment

  • Is Bart a Muslim? Or Atheist?

  • @ghostgate82 He is neither. He is an agnostic.

  • @ahmdeid ah, thanks.

  • @ghostgate82 He is a Christian, he got very conservative Christian education and at one point he came to a realization that scriptures seem to have differences, so he went and researched it.

  • this video is broken for some reason.

  • it stops at 34:26 ???????????????why?

  • every Xtian .. evangelicals especially, should see this video

"religion is based on myth and fables" said Thomas Jefferson

  • Christians.....hold strong to Thy Faith In God and His Son Jesus Christ. Satan is working through many people, including Bart Ehrman. Don't listen to his nonsense. Hold strong to your faith and continue to meditate on the word of God. The word of God has opened many doors of blessing in my life and I believe that your blessings are on the way. Persevere and Endure.

  • @humbleAfrican2009 ::: You won't find the 'word of God" in a book, you will find it in His creation.

  • @humbleAfrican2009 the "word of God" as you call it was written by men, just like the millions of other books in existence. The word of "God" has caused wars, injustice, bigotry, and nearly every other very bad thing that has happened in history. It may be good for your life, not so much for the Jewish people in Germany or the Native Americans when the "Christian" conquerors came to the continent...and I won't even start on slavery.

  • @humbleAfrican2009 so where can you find the word of god??

  • @yashmhedecho21 There is no god, there is only us. Try to be a good, honest, humane, peaceful human being. If you can do that then you will be as good as any non-existent god.

  • SORRY YOU GUYS, I GUESS YOU SHOULD ALL FOLLOW BART EHRMAN NOW SINCE HE SAID n his work ‘The New Testament: A Historical Introduction to the Early Christian Writings,’ he states:

In any event, Tacitus's report confirms what we know from other sources, that Jesus was executed by order of the Roman governor of Judea, Pontius Pilate.

HE FLAT OUT REJECTS THE QURAN AS A RELIABLE SOURCE OF TRUTH, SO HE ALSO REVEALED THE FALSEHOOD OF THE QURAN.WHY ARE YOU ALL MUSLIM THEN. LOL

  • "The Arabs are very hard in infidelity and hypocricy, and more inclined NOT to know the limits what Allah has sent down upon His Messenger; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise"

    Holy Quran 9:97

Warning: The Arabs have mistranslated the word Al-Arab into Bedouin. They are attempting to mind control non-Arab Muslims.

  • ok it sounds like scribes made mistakes. but it still seems to me like the Bible is God's word. if its spelled differently or written weird it can still have the same meaning. as much as i try to question the Bible, i cant disprove God's existence or what Jesus did for us or what i've felt. do i give my all for Christ or give up?

  • @sooners2812 Men wrote the bible, not any disembodied entity

  • @Jewelsinthesnow that we know, but was it inspired by God? i still think so

  • @sooners2812 Inspired by their idea of God.

  • @sooners2812 ::: If you 'give up your all' for the Creator, would you not get the same result? There is no way to disprove God nor do you wish to do so. You can simplify your devotion by just concentrating on the Father.

  • @sooners2812 Watch his other videos and he'll explain that they don't have the same meaning. They contradict each other in hundreds if not thousands of ways. You can realize that the bible is a man made book from the bronze age and realize God is the force behind nature.

  • is there a second part to this video?

great lecturer, Ehrman knows what he is talking about

  • @adilson1893 Type in Misquoting Jesus, Stanford Lecture, How Bible Tainted 1/10. Great video.

  • at least there is one single man have the courage to tell the public about what is the real truth..

  • Of the 5000 NT documents we have there are 100,000 textual variations between them but 99% of those are minor scribal errors such as misspelt words and incorrect grammar only 1% of the textual variants change the text in any real way and not 1 single Christian doctrine is undermined by any of them. Textual variants exist in early manuscripts of the quran as well especially in the damning and corrupted sana manuscripts. please stop the hypocrisy Muslims!

  • the Qu'raan has been memorized cover to cover. it hasn't chaged in 1400 years Allah had protected it like he said he would. Qu'raan means recitle because you recite it in song. why do you think they teach kids in song? or tell you in college to make a song or poem to remember. it has been proven to be the best way to remeber text. it has been that way since it was given to us. if every one in the world threw their religious book in the ocean the only one to cme back compleate is the Qu'raan.

  • Ehrman is a great lecturer. He awaked the interest in history

    in me :)....

  • Check out JEHOVAH UNMASKED! The True Identity of the Bible God Revealed. Much better than Ehrmans book.

  • Better in what way?

  • For two fascinating radio debates between Ehrman and Christian scholars on the reliability of scripture and the problem of suffering go to

    premier . org . uk / unbelievable

and listen to the shows of 3 and 10 Jan 09

Ehrman is impressive but his arguments are not overwhelming when experts in the field assess them.

  • Which experts? I want to know before I go possibly wasting time!

  • I have posted a video response to Bart Ehrman's approach to text criticism. If interested, paste watch?v=2GEwPB-fUi4 into the URL at youtube or search "Misquoted Jesus-Ehrman."
