Man, you really rock... you sang with passion... you must be a great guy... easy to see it in the way you sing this song... great job... We still can see youth in your eyes... this is my David Cassidy's favorite performance...god speed u... greetings from rio de janeiro, brazil...
Confession time..Remember "portable" reel to reel recorders? I recorded myself singing along with thier first albumn..I think I was 9. I thought for sure that once they heard it I would immediately be asked to join the band. Well, the call never came..I realize now that Mom never sent it. Wonder what happened to that tape...?
Yes I do remember. I taped the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, the parts where he did his 'concert spot' with John Hartford, Then Jerry Reed.. That was how I learned guitar.. Believe it or not, he once did '25 Or 6 To 4'.. I was blown away.Honestly, his guitar work on that was equal to or better than Terry Kath.. I kid you not.. Thanks. as always, for your comments-I love 'em all dude. (Hey, maybe like Mission: Impossible, the tape self-destructed in 5 seconds in a puff of smoke.. :)P
So funny, I was thinking of this song while walking my dogs. Thank you for doing an amazing job as per usual. Yes, it is a very good song. Stands the test of time.
Confession time again for some of us guys. We really enjoyed many of these David Cassidy songs, didn't we? Why else would we be singing along? A great choice, Larry - and a super job you've done on it. Thank you, sir.
Oh Man.....blast from the past...l SOOooo remember this one!! I was quite the Partridge Family fan back in my young days!! I remember learning all the harmony lines of all the songs so l could sing back up in case one of them got sick.....laugh.....l was 8 !!! Big Laughs!! Thanks so much for this one.
Larry.....Good choice here...Such achingly emotion charged lyrics.....And when you deliver them with that warm voice of yours....the result is a rich cozy performance....MANY stars for you, my friend.........ione marie
I love this song so much! It expresses all of the wonderful and sometimes conflicting emotions that go with enduring love - longing, regret, joy, strong and gentle passion - feelings that only grow stronger, and never go away.
And your voice is off the charts today, Larry...a flawless performance...and a new favorite for me.
Larry, thank you for doing this song. It's one of my favourites from the Shopping Bag Album and you do it oh so well...such a sweetness in your tone and delivery of the lyrics!
You voice does justice to this song. Thank you for sharing.

Tony Romeo was a great song writer
And this is the best version since the Partridge Family
And there was a time when we ALL loved the Partridge Family
And some of us still do
Thank you :)

HAHAHA That brings back the memory of my taped rendition of Donna Summers' "Love to love you baby", orgasmic groans and all. I was all of 11 or 12!
My mother played it for all her friends!
*face is still red from that*
