  • This show I remember watching on tv. It was my first exposure to Jimmy Davis and he blew me away. I had to go out and buy the cassette. I had been trying to find him on youtube, but I just remembered his first name...., until tonight - yay! hahhaha

  • Sweet !!

  • I was one of the fortunate ones to be at this show, something like 11 or 12 rows back from the stage - my first and only Vol Jam. I'll never forget it as long as I live. I had never heard of Jimmy Davis before that day and have wondered what became of him since. Just found out that this venue was demolished some time ago - really saddened me to hear about that.

  • I remember dancing to this one....

  • I saw Jimmy twice last week - Campfire Songs is a fantastic CD -

  • @pediva1 I LOVE that CD! It's great. You have good taste!

  • I just saw Jimmy a week ago at Hippie Jack's. He is better than ever. Great songwriter and a live wire on stage. His CD "Campfire Songs" is an awesome CD. There are tons of great independent artists out there on the road. Put down your taylor swift cds and support real talent.

  • Tommy Burroughs is my uncle, so I grew up around him and Jimmy Davis. I used to love to hear them playing together at bon-fires!

  • I was in 7th grade with Jimmy Davis. We used to laugh at him because he brought his guitar to school with him. Now I laugh at myself for not getting on board! Rock On Jimmy!

  • JD's still pretty dang active in music.. Being from Memphis, I gotta say he spends way to much time on the road and not enough here in town. I've been trying to see him again, but for the past year or so my schedule is about a week behind his.. For anyone interested, his music is still growing strong and better with age. Guess we've both mellowed with time.

  • Man, Jimmy had so many good songs, that I had hope he would have recorded, but didn't. I haven't seen him perform in about 3 years, he is doing more of a bluegrass thing now.

  • when I was on tour with the Outfield way back when we were promoting bangin'...Jimmy and the guys came on our tour for a while....I loved them - all great musicians and fantastic people.....very happy memories and hell do they rock....kicked Outfield ass most nights....mercy. (Frankie Callaghan )..Hi John, Davy, Tommy, Jimmy....remember our drive through Yellowstone in the snow...with the bison walking beside the road ???

  • this is the reason i love youtube so much you come across gems like this, kick the wall was one of my favourite lps growing up. I also had a tape of him live in concert which was just great...thx 4 postin this...

  • I Love this ...as well as the Song "Are we Rocking Yet" off the Jimmy Davis and Juction Hell I remember when the band was called Nexxus ...or something like that. BUY THE CD it is GREAT ! Michael

  • i agree with joe,he aint no tom t.

  • I remember hearing Jimmy in Memphis back when he had to sneak into the club to sing onstage because he was underage. No doubt about it, he rocks! (even Charlie Daniels approves)

  • I agree. There ain't ever gonna be but one Tom T... But this guy DOES rock it his own way and that's not a bad thing.

  • He ain't no Tom T Hall

  • He wasn't trying to be Tom T Hall . Damn dude!
