i want to tell all the people, like jim wanted! i had this breakthru last night, mr mojo risin' contacted me!! please believe me im not joking. it was a long progress about everything. first i felt weird that my life was like in jims poetry etc, i also read a lot jim's poetry recently, watched videos, etc and smoked pot, but that was the thing that was needed in order to break on trough, i feel like im alone in this, im sure jim would want others to know too, someone, please answer!!!
@ThePimpinelli I'm not sure if your crazy, or if I am for answering. If you want to find him, find Lucy, shes in the Sky with Diamonds. The man only smoked on the way back son!
@Halabaga Ray usually played the bass on live performances, but when it came to recording sometimes they hired other bass players. I think Ray played this one.
Great video! Used it for a Doors Examiner article on the release of An American Prayer examiner.com/the-doors-in-national/the-doors-tribute-to-jim-morrison-an-american-prayer
the Native American footage is awesome! I saw a piece of black and white film of indians in canoes and one indian was standing up on the edge of the canoe dressed as a raven or a hawk and was doing some kind of dance. anyone else see that? I dont think its in this video though
@DXhardy831 1978 after Jim died of course. Jim did some spoken poetry in Paris before he died in 1971. It's great right, it just shows how damn good the band was.
Yea no shit, the Doors were great, Jim, John, Robby and Ray. The Doors were great, this might sound blasphemous but, I dont think that Jim would have made it with out the Doors. My own opinion, long live the Lizard King, long lost Anunnaki!
@boredcon This is his poems he did before he died and they rest of the band took little bits of each poem and put them in to a song and they added the beat over it
one thing that makes this video OBVIOUSLY fake to The Doors fans: John Densmore never used a pick. grew up a jazz blues musician and picked my fingers. still good effects and editing though, my hat's off to you.
You know when Val Kilmer did the Doors movie he was asked by the band to join them on the road because Val sounded just like Jim. Val did his own singing on the soundtrack and in the movie. But Val turned them down flat. I thought IS HE ON DRUGS?? You don't turn down a once of a lifetime opportunity like that.
@hodogetsmoney I disagree, I think they all brought something unique to the table. There wouldn't even be a Doors if it weren't for Ray making the recommendation, and Jim couldn't play any instruments therefore he was only one element of the whole sound. I just say this cause I think it's messed up when a bands front man gets all the attention when the rest of the band works just as hard(if not harder.)
ah nice one but too bad u didnt include the "hidden poem" in this track. it comes several seconds, possibly even a minute or 2, after the song ends and its quite interesting. to this day though, i cant put my finger on just what it is he is trying to convey with it
this is beautiful it makes you feel like jim is still alive it must have been hard for the doors to do this though because every time i hear jims voice in this song i feel like crying and the same with his poem the severed garden i always cry at the end of that its so beautiful R.I.P JIM MORRISON 1943-1971
@samrrool Im native American and i will conform Jim Morrison is a shaman! He speaks in tongues of what he sees on his trips and it pushes me to survival just like a shaman!
