  • Great vid ! Great analogy of the gun and the bullets and the mpc is a weapon. And I think music is therapy no doubt for all us music makers & producers.

  • @IAMJAYLOVE Thanks for the support and comment...apreciate it my brutha!!

  • S/O to my homie Overlor. he use to school me & my homie Fmajor at Guitar Center back in the day when we where new producer in the game. I think we was one of the few producers that he accepted using software before it became super mainstream... MizfitzSoundz

  • @GQofMizfitzSoundz Thanks for stopping by GQ how are things back home and what have you guys been up too? Message me Peace!!

  • Overtime I learned to make things more simpler by adding by subtracting. Its a never ending battle being a gearslut. There is many ways to skin a cat but if you are thinking of better ways while you are skinning it you may never bald him out

  • @Amerikaten Great advice...I subtract by selling gear to add gear...lol!! I guess if money was no object I would have a Hip Hop Museum with all the gear that was influential in hip hop culture.

  • The MV-8000/8800 was made how these new MPC's by numark should have been made.

  • @RikAmmo I agree again but I like having the power of my computer and access to all my sounds and I wish Roland did what Akai has done 1st.

  • Great vid. appreciate your opinion. i use 3 different machines and no doubt , things come out different in every one.

  • @TheDustDirtGrime Thank you for coming through and sharing a comment...Much respect.

  • You look like a kid waitin for Christmas! Lovin it... Don't sleep on that MV though. Found your chanel recently because of it, and I really like what you do with it.

  • @wudsiba Oh no doubt you will be seeing me on the MV8800 and MV8000 in some coming videos.

  • what did you say the other devide you use besides the MPCs was? the envy or something?

  • @WuTangBoneThugs I use the MV8000 & The MV8800 by Roland.

  • Akai made the Renaissance is the MPC 5000 with buttons and color of the MPC 3000. I believe they know people love the 3000, so they are trying to copy it. But they left out one BIG factor; they left out Roger Linn. If they had any since, they would have called him and made him a part of this new MPC. Akai without Roger Linn equals a flop! I don't think they even have the software correct, yet.

  • @mpc4000king Roger Linn is still trying to get his Linn Drum 2 perfected and he has been away from Akai so long don't think he would have had any interest. The MPC3000 was the last machine I know of by Akai he had any involvement in. Akai Did go to FORAT and picked his brain(He even helped with some of the design and button lay out I believe) as well as a bunch of producers that have used the MPC's over the years so I think they are going in the right Direction.

  • @OverlorBeats Totally agree. Correct, Roger Linn created the 3000, then he left AKAI. Can't wait to see the LinnDrum 2. Roger knows the SOUND. Having said that, I'm curious to hear the quality of the audio converters in the Ren. Also, since there are the "Sample Edit" and "Sample" buttons there, I really hope a USB drive can be connected and used to sample and edit to/from, without the need of the computer. They should be able to do this. If that's the case I might buy it.

  • @OverlorBeats Oh, AND I really hope the Ren has the awesome pitch control and quality that the 3000 had to really pitch down samples to get some funky shit. The 3000's quality really kept the sound together when it was pitched down (or up) all the way. This was a feature I used and loved a lot... It's about the converters to get good sound in, first and foremost.

  • Good Vid and thanks for keeping it real! Them Beats is SICK!

  • @don1mega No doubt thanks for the support Fam.

  • My email is arijinal@gmail.com leave your contact number and we can talk business

  • as a fellow equipment junkie, i'. saving up now.

  • @sunahura Yeah I will be ready when it drops. The say Q3 is when it should be available so that is between April & June.

  • Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about this new product. I have some questions for you if you don't mind helping a fellow producer out. I know you know the MPC inside and out from your knowledge base on this subject. I think we can collab on a project and make something hot! Hit me up on twitter if you interested. @Arijinalbeat

  • @arijinaljinal No doubt I would love to hear some of your stuff. I will be openiing a twitter account soon. I have one for my production team but want to set up my own. Be patient with a brother don't hit all of the social media that hard but stay in touch and let me know what you have in mind.

  • Word Love it.(no Homo) Thanks for the Video

  • @MilticketProductions I got you homie...lol...No Homo. Thanks for stopping through.

  • Yo, I thoroughly enjoyed your take on the MPC State of mind and production. You see this exactly as it is, and you're right, some people will get it, some people won't. You are definitely a gearslut. I had to subscribe. I might have to do a response vid.

  • @TangomegaXI Thanks for the support I truly appreciate it.

  • @TangomegaXI Thanks for the support I truly appreciate it.

  • I agree thank you. I left a (maybe) too long of a comment in one of the videos in response to the negativity. Yes some things we want might be missing and it may seem redundant to some but this is a different beast and a dope product! We'll know when we get our hands on it.

  • @MrNodoz Looking at the Namm Videos I am really excited, if Akai came up with this years ago Roland would have never taken there shine & Maschine would seem like a knock off. Now it looks like they are playing catch up & they are doing a great job @ it thus far. The Fact that they teamed up with "Forat" & Veteran MPC users to come up with the layout and functionality says a lot. They care about there core users & want to make it right. Thank you Akai you are on the right track!!

  • @OverlorBeats Mos def they are a bit tardy and thats the quick game with technology companies are playing. Anyone who is a gear junkie like us will be anxious regardless! Peace

  • got nuttin but love and respect for this dude

( and coming from a dude with an MPC 1000 , Maschine , and more ) i like only like hardware that can give me sumthing i cant already get , so the new MPC's are just not for me .

but my Kp3 for example there is no virtual software that can replace my kp3 its magic .n theres nothing in the digital world that can create feedback tones like my analog mixer. DO NOT SLEEP on the IPAD and things like groove Machine ,ipads BLEND well with ANY Studio !!

  • @JSprayaEntertainment Now this I respect thanks for watching. Now KP3 are we talking Kaos Pad???

  • @OverlorBeats Yea the kaoss pad 3 , its sick( tha new kaoss pad quad is a step down , that's why its cheaper) and the ipad's are Crazy a lot of people dont know you can hook up any usb audio/midi interface , so you wanna midi sync it or control it with your external gear like trigger sounds with your mpc no problem .. or you can put control the ipad from your pc's mouse and keyboard ..n last but not least the sounds and music apps are crazy ( like anything u can imagine dope)

  • Haven't tried using the MV yet... My friend has one but he sucks at music...

  • @Bboyhopkins It has a bit of a learning curve but one of the best machines to make beats with.

  • Nice vid fam

  • @slimmivy Thanks My Man Appreciate It.

  • I wish Roland could upgrade the MV-8K like the Renaissance. Thumbs Up If You Agree.

  • @Disisions I agree and believe Roland should have been one of the 1st who knows they may have actually inspired all of this to happen.

  • thanks for this vid I enjoyed it

  • @ImDino Thanks for watching and supporting. I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • cool 2500, whats that thing next to it?

  • @ImDino Roland MV8800 funny I used to call it the MPC Killer. That is an amazing machine.

  • Another good video, man. Keep it up!

  • @TheExplodingBit Thanks a million...will do!!

  • i agree with you man.. different daws and hardware bring out different flavor to your music. all of them have pros and cons but they all are useful. thats why i tell people to try to learn new stuff with music.. dont be stuck on one thing forever. atleast take the time to learn new things cause it expands your growth. good vid

  • @wuanjeffers Thanks for sharing.

  • subsequence01.bandcamp.com/

  • @Mapiemma So you promoting on my comments page no problem if you at least subscribe. Have you???

  • can you make a vid showing the 1000 youre selling?

  • @s1ghandnod Sure will...!!!

  • making beats is my therapy too bro!! let me keep it real with u homie, i would have been shot dead or locked up in prison bro!! where i'm from it's not easy gang shootings /drug dealing / police shootings etc the list goes on .. a couple of weeks ago this dude i knew got shot in the face!! damn sh%t was horrible :( Enough of my sad stories lol.. if the price of the Akai MPCRenaisance is not to hot, i'll buy it, i wanted the mpc 2500 but i like using my software so i think the Renais will do.

  • @bigmanwhitesaint Hey BigMan know I understand...truly. Coming from what has been called "BodyBag Murderland" Home of the "Wire" and "B-More (Careful)". It is a great way to get all of that out and focus on possiblties rather than get swallowed up by the street. I love where I am from but I don't embrace it for the B.S. but love that it made me want more and strong enough to go after it and not take No for answer if its my dream. Stay Up Fam & Holla Anytime!!

  • Good stuff bruh. I feel you on the therapy too. I have to get my session time in almost daily. Most peeps who take their music serious, eventually end up with (Gear-Acquisition-Syndrome aka GAS). Myself, I call it gear-hoarding. Once it drops, peeps will switch to a "how does it work" mode anyways. Keep doing your thing bruh.

    Peace...Netm8kr

  • @Netm8kr Thanks my man, I love the acronym. G.A.S. cool

  • its my therapy too so i know the feeling

  • @bmd77 Best therapy in the world for a Hip Hop Head

  • Yea im staring to use cubase and reason alot more myself .But im really stuck on the mpc the mpcr should change things for me as well.Good vid.P9(PEACE)

  • @Diddddu Thanks appreciate it.

  • i gotta have that mpc r uma keep my 1000 i can still do a lot wit it jjos 2

  • Yo overlor I'm with you bro. BTW thanks for the gratuitous six pack shot at 2:58. Keep up the good work! :-)

  • @bravomovies LMFAO...that joint more like a bowl...will be back on my excersice grind real soon not used to being out of shape.

  • Yeah, I don't know about the Renaissance, but my interest is in the Slimeline Studio! Now all this is hinging on price, so the Renaissance may have a chance with me. I do like the size of the Slimeline, so I'm gonna wait on Maschine so I can see all the feature set make a decision after that. And the MV you ask? Oh, that's like rock n' roll & hip hop, it's here to STAY! It's about to be a fight with NI & Akai with the Slimeline, Mikro, & Maschine! Great rant bruh!

  • @Sinosure It would definitely have to be the MPCR for me. I want all the hook ups and connections. Slimline looks like just a controller no audio outs so if you got just that you are using the outs and ins from your interface just like maschine. So the MPCR it is.

  • @OverlorBeats Now when the street price hits & if I can get my paper up, then yeah, I'll get the MPCR too instead! For now though, I have to see how it all falls! I DO want an MPC in my set up again though! (I used to have the 200XL) My first love, the MV will still see much play though!

  • I know who's vid your talking about lol... Its got nothing to do with colour! Which of the new MPC will you be getting the slim or chubby version?

  • @ooProduction The MPCR will be my weapon of choice and I will keep my Mikro so I can have the best of both worlds.

  • @OverlorBeats Cant i get the MV 8000 yet?

  • @ooProduction They are out there between $399 and $799 ... if your asking if I am gettting rid of mine probably not a lot of sentimental value...the first piece I got when I decided to start making beats again...also it has some issues but I can still work it very well.

  • @OverlorBeats Was asking for it for free lol

  • yeah man i agree with u 100%

  • @babar141 Thanks for taking the time to listen to me rant...lol
