  • Very beautiful. Reminds me of backpacking through Valencia!

  • that looks AMAZING

  • Siempre me ha gustado ese tipo de arroz con mango platillos. Le falto zafron y calabaza. Delicioso

  • Arriba Espana, jaja.

  • The man forgot one key ingredient. Saffron. He focused too much on Mexican Spices which I criticize him for especially since he lived in Spain.

  • Looks tasty

  • please dont forgot the plastic gloves chef!

  • oooooohhhh my Gooodddd

What are you doing mister?,,,,,,,,, its don´t real Paella , just look like a bad pizza uffffff i am from Valencia (Spain) , come here and I make for you an real paella, just wos in Tokio, grrrrrrrr NO COMENT ufffff

  • Enjoyed the video. Wonderful!

  • Arriba Spania! LOL!

  • @sirJazz -- you sound so ignorant, no one is going to listen to what you have to say

to the people saying thats not the correct way to make Paella, learn to listen, he clearly says that he tried to incorporate Mexican ingredients into his dish.

The fact is it looks/sounds delicious, and he did well explaining and narrating.

  • I hope you get your own show Ryan! Good luck!

  • Good Job...and Good Luck with The Food Network!!!

  • not bad, i love chef john but you show promise

  • dang that paella looks awesome

  • Great Job!

  • Ryan, what do you think about the Sacramento City Counci's move to ban taco trucks and other mobile food vendors?

  • Love it will you share the recipe?

  • Good Luck Ryan you are the man! Been a long time!

  • oh man, you didn't tell us what some of the ingredients were! what a miss!! I'm voting you up anyways because, dude, you deserve to be a host! you packed so much into that three minutes without it feeling too hurried or frighteningly intense that you totally deserve my vote and many others. i hope you win!

  • Fantastic!

  • I really like this, you seem relaxed on camera and I think you would make a great show!! Good luck :)

  • Ryan...you are a natural in front of the camera and your paella looks really tasty. Good luck!! You definitely have my vote!!

  • yummy yummy love all the ingrediets.

I love garlic in my food, specially because is so healthy

and ohhh sea food the best "I love sea food"

    Great food Ryan

  • Nice persona you have!

  • Not everybody has pans that big...

  • omg.. MEASUREMENTS...

  • Why don't you all just chillax and enjoy the vid please!

  • It is not about how you feel about paella, tortiallas or greenbeans ... this is an area to be supportive, if you don't like it do a thumbs down, but keep your nastys to yourselves. The camera LOVES him, he tells his story well & has his technique down...

  • now that is a cook.

  • @SirJazz I'm not talking about my countries obesity problem. (Yes, it is a problem.) I'm talking about how you made a mountain out of a mole hill! How can you verbally attack Americans just because you saw a family style dish served to a group of hungry adults? Does your country not eat? Now if Ryan had served hamburgers and fries soaked in grease, I would totally understand. But this Paella was healthy! Not a lot of oils, plenty of seafood, vegetables, and grains.

  • Paella with green beans!!!!

    I don't think so

Arriba Mexico cabrones but leave our paellas as they are XDDD

  • I really like paella, when I visited in Spain I ate a lot of that... and tortillas :D

  • @dominico1983 dude i dnt think that spaniards eat tortillas.....

  • @superbrayan11 They invented the tortillas!

  • Nice job there! Your paella looks amazing! Hope to see you on the Food Network.

  • we have a simpler paella called 'midye dolma' we put rice in the shell

  • MMMMMMMmmMMMmMMMMmmmm

  • no saffron??

  • a real paella has to be made...with a donkey's tail

  • I would vote for you but, sorry to say, you sound like you have ADD. The commentary starts nicely, then you have a spasm attack and you won't stop... I also really don't care about some person who cooked a big bowl of Paella too.

  • Did he just fried an uncooked rice?

  • @whipwhip I always fry my rice for a few minutes before adding liquid. Once you do it that way you will never go back to just throwin water on rice. Give it a shot.. add 1 tbsp oil to pan...and brown 1 cup of rice over medium heat. While you are doing that bring 2 cups of water to a boil. When the rice is starting to color add the boiling water directly to the pot with a pat of butter and cover, reduce to low and let it steam for 17-18 mins. It will be better and faster. I swear

  • @heisman9 thanks for that idea i never knew how now that i do ill try it and see if its the same for me :)

  • THAT'S A BIG PAN :)

  • I love watching people prepare Paella! All the ingredients and flavors added to create a wonderful dish.

  • Are all Mexican's foods look like that? Is there anything else he wants to puts in that pan?

  • @JackBui2 this isnt Mexican food...its Spanish. there's a MAJOR difference...

  • @carlose2005 But he keep talking about the mexican flavor D=

  • @JackBui2 yes, he does talk about it. if you notice he says that he cooks mexican food on a daily basis and he likes to incorporate it the things he makes. he's just putting certain mexican flavors into his paella. but paella itself is actually a spanish dish.

  • dude slow down

  • anyone notices the egg being fried until 1:53?

  • huge pan...

  • My mom died of paella poisoning.

  • @7m00n are you serious? I put a lot of different shit in my paella so one day I might end up with ants coming out of my mouse with all the mixing and shit.. LOL. Chicken, cilantro, onions, clams, oysters, lobster, crab, shrimp, garlic, onions, green onions, beef sometimes, any other fish, and whatever I have available.

  • arriba espana! :D lol

  • good :D

  • @SirJazz Are you blind? No seriously. Did you not see the large stack of plates next to the pan of paella? Did you not see the group of people gather around the table, intending on sharing the dish? If you missed it, it's at 2:54.

    Looks gorgeous though!

  • @LezPride1 @ICrayonnx3 @safersephiroth50 @BadFriendsTrioBLT @shannon7733 @daniohs @mathexpert9981 i've been in america for almost one year. its funny how blind you guys are. you country is fat. you try to deny FACTS. More than 50% are FAT in your country. how can you dare calling this a sterotype?

  • I really love your charisma and the connection you make with the audience. The paella also looks really good. Hope to see you make it onto NFNS!

  • who needs such a big portion?

oh yeah. fat americans. i mean americans.

  • @SirJazz hmm.. your retarded.. if you actually came to america.. you would see that most people in schools and cities.. Aren't fat.. remember america has one of the biggest populations so yeah,

  • @SirJazz Lol Americans are the best + we brush are teeth unlike British people and we have up to date technology unlike iraq Plus we have awesome president Obama.

  • @SirJazz

Uhm, wow. If you've never been to America, maybe you should go. Most Americans honestly are NOT fat. It's just a stupid stereotype. Besides, if you're saying that only America has overwieght people, you are dead wrong.

  • @SirJazz You are an idiot. That was for more than one person dumbass. It is better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt. Remember than next time you are about to speak. I imagine that if you were to practice this, most of your friends and family members would describe you as a person that spoke very rarely.

  • @SirJazz who has just embarrassed himself?

    oh yeah. sir jazz.

that's how paella is sometimes made - in a laaarge pan for a huge party.

  • @SirJazz

    stereotype

  • would be nice if you kno what's in it...

  • paella is yellow, not orange

  • that looks DELISH

  • VN VN

  • watch?v=rEsbxhs0PNo

  • haha nice vid.. . .hmmm toooooo nice 8-)

  • it is probably wonderful, but being spanish I must burst your bubble and say this is not a paella. at least not a traditional one.

  • I hope he wins! I'd so watch his show

  • Dear Ryan, I am a straight man. But, you are amazing!

  • Well done Ryan! Very comfortable and composed in front of the camera. Paella looks amazing and the narration was spot on.

  • Great video, the paella looks delicious! Ryan is very personable and relatable to any audience! Good job Ryan!

  • I love the way he tells the story of the paella he watched being made. Was super interesting and I would DEFINITELY watch him on the Food Network!

  • Great video. I actually enjoyed watching it. Mr. Paella has my vote.

  • This guy has a lot of personality and seems like he really knows his stuff. This is the best looking dish out of all the videos I've watched (the Paella looks good too) :).... Please don't give us one of those guys who have their own "cooking show" on youtube, they belong on PBS not foodnetwork. I would prefer someone like this!

  • good but get rid of the nerves cutie you have a good chance
