The swirl is more subtle than shown on HP's website. It's there and you can see it when the light catches it a certain way.

Yea, that's in the US; for only $25 more. In Europe I haven't seen this option; they only sell the version with the old crap (and it's called Compaq Mini 311c, instead of HP).

I don't know what's will all that Compaq branding anyways - they bought the damn company a few years ago; should get over it by now =)
