@VICTORITURBE2005 to be promoted you drop a packet...but if you are enlisted and want to be an officer, you must have a proffessional degree. you cannot just apply to become an officer and it be granted to you. it takes education, hard work, and additional training. it also depends on what your college degree is in and your corresponding military job (MOS). talk to a recruiter. if you want to be an officer, the first step is college.

@VampsAreLovee I can't tell you much about them, but I don't thinks so. I know for sure that you wouldn't be able to wear it in uniform, but when you are off you can. You may wanna find a navy person on here.

@bmhamixc i am a dental assistant so my job is easy. It can be hard to go to school while you are in, but it can happen. If you are thinking about joining you need to start working out now. Pushups sit ups and running!!! NOW

No, you dont have to cut it!! You can just wear it back in a pony tail. Idk if you can get braids, i got micros when I went in 99 and they made me take them out. but times have changed...... ask your recruiter if you can wear braids. But dont cut it if you dont reallly want to.
