have just finished listening to Eva's Simply Eva CD..Simply stunning ! Only Eva and her guitar - no back up vocals or instruments other than what she plays. The last track "I know you by heart " was sung acapella - and it was only 54 seconds long - but breathtaking. On this CD you really hear the pure quality in Eva's voice without any other distractions. She just moves me to tears - a true beautiful talent

A new Eva Cassidy album entitled "Simply Eva" will be released at the end of January 2011. It is an acoustic album of Eva and her guitar. I have always been enchanted with a story Eva's mom, Barbara Cassidy, tells about Eva singing on the rooftop of the hotel where they were staying in Greece. A few minutes into Eva's impromptu concert, people of the village gathered in nearby windows to listen. This CD will give Eva's fans the opportunity to be on that rooftop.

I've just discovered Eva and can't describe how wonderful I find her voice and performance. It's all tinged with melancholy, perhaps amplified by learning of her so-sad death at 33: Eva, I never knew you! I love her voice, although at spots her lack of sufficient vocal training peaks through; but that doesn't even matter. In some way, she's (to me) all the more believable for her obviously natural artfulness. How I wish she were still with us, and I'm ready to buy my first CD of her this wknd.
