I learned this in either in 5th or 6th grade. I sometimes got confused, but I usually understood it. Math was and always will be my worst subject, but I'm a lot better than I used to be thanks to videos like these and teachers who actually taught me.

I'm not sure, but I think they meant that whichever one comes first when reading left to right is what you do first. In that case it was subtraction, but if it was adding that came before the subtraction sign, then you would do adding first.

PEMDAS, thats new, we use BEDMAS, b for brackets. D and M switch doesnt make a difference.
