The tornado that struck claflin was not the same tornado that hit greensburg. It was the same thunderstorm but not the same tornado. The greensburg tornado disintegrated just north of greensburg. Then the storm produced two more large wedge tornados, one was 2.1 miles wide and the other was 1.3 miles wide. Look up the tornado paths on the net and you can see just how insane that weekend was
This is definently well after the storm hit Greensburg because of the NOAA radio saying there was a Tornado Warning for Barton County until 2:45am. Plus the entire town of Greensburg was destroyed so how can there not be houses destroyed.
Ok City had the fastest est. measured winds. No doubt the radar images and damages caused by this tornado are evidence this tornado was just as strong as the OK City Tornado.
sounds to me like ur the moron do u actually think there is actually going to be through traffic after a storm like that?Dont be an asshole, even though most people on youtube are
Actually prime tornado time is between about 4 and 7 pm, when its daylight out. Night time tornados aren't extremely rare, but usually after dark the temps settle down and the storms weaken
Actually, it is officially documented that then tend to strike between the hours of 3-8 PM. They're more dangerous at night because they're harder to see.
I remember that. I live in Miami/Florida and while this F5 hit, we had a horible storm along with a tornado warning. While we had the storm you guys had the super twister. My mother said Kansas had a F5 that same time we had a storm.

there's a reason for that:

if you think that was close then you haven't seen anything! I used to live about 20 minutes from this town. I have seen closer strikes.
