  • MERCI merveilleux!<3

    Carly Simon !Superbe Chanteuse<3

  • I just realized that he's playing in a deep, dark, dank underground tunnel underneath San Fransisco.

  • Jon Gomm + Pat Metheny. One day it must happen...

  • the sounds of this move me to be better as a musician...an instrument in hand is a vehicle to expression, not an obstacle as it is easily as it can be to percieve it to be......but this......thank you Pat if ever you were to read this for the mastery of your creativity..... this is soulful

  • Miss those days of seeing you play at the JCC

  • does everybody knows what size of baryton guitar it is?

  • Absolutely sublime...as ever!

  • I am still trying to find something Pat has not done perfectly...

  • @kasmeria totally agree!!!!

  • Amazing rendition.

  • Beautiful..

  • Great!

  • who's the dirty bastard that disliked this..............c'mon now who is it

  • @arzjay ....must be Kenny G.....heh, heh

  • @arzjay probably that goof troll from all the other metheny videos who goes around saying that he's a terrible musician who plays with no sense of romance or adventure or danger! unreal! thaat dude is as unbelievably daft as metheny is brilliant!!!

  • Wowww ... I could fall in love with this interpretation that reaches the soul under the stars ...and the moon !

  • Wow! I can hear you breathing....

  • It's like hearing a burning passion of heavenly art directly from his guitar..

  • Wow. This is fantastic. Carly would be so pleased, I'm sure, and flattered.

  • The geniality lies in the simplicity

  • I don't even know why there's a dislike button. God himself wouldn't allow that any of us could dislike this kind of music.

  • "it moves me in ways I still don't understand" ..... the first time I heard a Pat Metheny song I had that same reaction...and I still always do. I love this music too... like none other and nothing else ..

  • Brilliant--masterful! Nobody does it better, as I'm sure Carly would agree.

  • That RE30 mic captured the richness of the bass notes on 5 and 6 strings. Damn---he's good!

  • thank you for playing this wonderful tune

  • I will be playing this in loop style as soon as it starts to storm in about 12 minutes.

  • This didn't really hit me until I played the original (elsewhere here). Gorgeous tune.

  • this song brought tears then and even more so now. great composers, great musicians equal timeless music that can be extracted from the "vault" then reintroduced. Pat M. does it again and again on guitar. Thank you, Carly for the original.

  • @irezumi83 I played this all weekend. It moves me in ways I still don't understand. I love this music.

  • first arpegio of this song is from another song's first arpegio called que alegria of john mclaughlin

  • Thanks Pat. You inspire me and the guitar students I am so blessed to have under my care. In one form or another I play your music daily for me and the kids to enjoy. I am getting very curious about the tuning for this guitar. Just might take the plunge and seriously look at it.

  • Pat, the soundtrack of my life. Thanks.

  • Amadeus of our time....thanks Pat, you make our lives better..:)

  • A request for Pat--

I would SO love to see a TAB music book of this new solo album, which I have been very highly anticipating. I am currently building a Baritone to be set up for your "partial Nashville" tuning so that I can learn the tunes you so beautifully transcribed in your "One Quiet Night" book.

All the best to you, and thanks so much for your constant inspiration.
