It sounds like they stagger the sirens to prevent the 90 second silence between warning cycles during ongoing warnings from lulling people into a false sense of security.
Honestly to tell u thu truth, we've had about 3 at most MAJOR storm warnings. Ive not heard the sirens all year yet. But Springfield is on the Ozark Plateau, which is infamous for its random weather habits. But usually its just Summer and Spring: Tornado season and HOT. Fall and Winter: Cold ice storms and ice overs, as well as Tornadoes. (January 2008 anyone?)
no no i wasnt complaining, i know whats it's like to be there, the sound of a tornando is enough to scare anyone. I read the description, it was still good footage ...
I live in Marshfield (About 22 miles North/NorthEast of Springfield), We had houses demolished, Gone. Like 6 people dead, I think? Something like that.
Hey 1050HzSineWaveTone dont forget about Kansas City. Nobody in this town belives it could happen here. We always miss the big storms to the north or the south but not by much. The jet stream just works that way. But believe me, ask the people of New Orleans if they think it couldn't happen again. It will happen to KC someday, and it will be a sad day for a great town.
cool video every 1 check out mine (coming soon) im gessing within a week it has footage for me standing in battlefield MO also it will have a video of the tornado that went through monet
maybe this indicates an super F5 tornado destroying Downtown Dallas, TX, Downtown St. Louis, MO, Downtown Pittsburg, PA or Downtown Chicago, IL in the spring.
P.S. what kind of siren is that hered in the background?

im thinking about moving to springfield missouri how many tornadoes do you get a year? and is it safe to live there?
michaelisherenow123 3 years ago
Its kind of hard to determine that. Sometimes we get lucky years and dont see a thing. And by safe do you mean weather or crime?
JasonKrowe 3 years ago
ummmmmm i guess ur chances of dying there are some wht high there are crime rates and tornadoes pretty often.

Thats our lovely system of tornado sirens. There was about 5 going off near me. I think there are at least 20-30 of them scattered around town.
JasonKrowe 4 years ago
Well, if the weather predictions are right, we are in for one hell of a tornado season.
JasonKrowe 4 years ago
holy cow. You're prediction was uncannily accurate.
