  • Belmonte has always used a one handed approach. He only uses the second hand to keep the ball balanced on his hand, but always releases with one hand. There are very, very few people who truly have a two handed release.

  • Belmonte has a two handed approach, but still releases the ball with one hand. Here he has both one handed approach and release.

  • i wonder why he doesnt bowl like that normally

  • @yomommaaminor55 because he can't

  • @greghmn he can now.dummy

  • @yomommaaminor55 by can't i meant he's not as good one handed as two handed and it's unlikely that he could bowl one handed at the professional level, after all the time he's rolled it two handed.

  • @greghmn that is true.but that wasnt that bad of a shot

  • @yomommaaminor55 well... in the whole scheme of things, i guess he didn't chuck it in the gutter... but if he wants consistency he's gotta bowl two handed. that's the point i've been trying to get across.

  • Jason Belmonte is already a one handed bowler. He bowls one handed normally because his left hand gets off the ball at the bottom of the swing and his right hand continues. It's a two handed approach he does, not a two handed release, so he's a one handed bowler.

  • i love the background whistle at 0:16 :D

  • It has a thumb hole because it has to have one. USBC rules state that a ball has to have three hole not including a weight hole.

  • still revs the crap out of it one handed. Probably does 500+rpms one handed.

  • @iwasadeum 500+..oh cmon..about 400-450 rpm..

  • @DarKyBacK okay troll, 499 RPMS.

  • looks like fagan surely taught him or influenced jason's more classic approach

  • Belmo is badass though, even if he did lose.

  • in my opinion i think he is a very good bowler. yes i know you have to be to be in the PBA but compared to some PBA people he is better than most. but thats just me.

  • The reason Belmo uses 2 hands is that he feels more secure with both hands cupping his balls and if he falls forward he can use his kick stand. He stated this in an interview with Pedopedia for his authorized bio. Just the facts maam.

  • what match was ths?

  • i thought he won this match?

  • @kboss2011 He won the 07WTM not this one.

  • he actually throws it really good one handed!

  • wow thats actually pretty good lol

  • no need for namecalling... im just sayin like everytime belmonte bowls the announcers tell that story so i think its pretty well known

  • lol that looked just like Fagan

  • but looked more solid than Fagan

  • nevermind i just saw the match with him and barret

  • can i ask why he throws it one handed for this shot? did he already lose?

  • Yes.

  • @thiswilldoblue What match is this?

  • are you going to upload the whole final match? Also do you have the Barrett / Palermaa match, or the Caminsky / Palermaa match?

Like the videos, thanks for uploading!

  • Thansk for the new vids ! ;)

  • Jason has a nice form rolling with only one hand.

  • wow his backswing is like Michael Fagan when he does one hand...didnt he switch to two handed cuz he couldn't get a good rev rate one handed?

  • He says he started two handed because he could only hold a ball with 2 hands when starting at a very early age.

  • Than it just blended into his style and he just went on pro with the two hand style right?

  • Exactly, weird thing about him is though he is very consistent with bowling with 2 hands, although I think its very ugly looking and unconsistent, but I have to give him credit hes a great bowler. And by the way did anyone else notice with a 1 hand delivery he kinda bowls like Michael Fagan?

  • ionly notice the high swing and totally forgot about Michael Fangan till you mention him haha. But still him bowling one hand is kinda a once in a blur moon thing huh.

  • i watched the same and i know that Fagan is his good friend so i think he has learned it from Fagan

  • Well I didnt know that, but that would make sense, Im a cranker but I dont take it that high o.0.

  • He stayed at Fagan's house for one tournament

  • when he was young he started bowling very early and could only lift balls with 2 hands as a child so it sorta stayed with him

  • @Collegejew629 and they are good friends too :)

  • @Collegejew629 If he switched from that shot there due to lack of rev rate then he's sick! I'd kill for his one handed rev rate!!

  • @Collegejew629

Thats still a good rev rate one handed 450-500 id say most people average 200-350. Him and mike fagan are great friends so im sure he immulates fagan in his one handed style.
