I read somewhere that in his contract, he also wanted it to say that he didn't have to go to interviews unless it was something of promoting the show. He's very shy and doesn't like fame from what I read.

I think the fact that Hal being straight and playing a gay character for 5 years is amazingly brave because u don't see that every day. I think its one of the most positive career moves i have seen anyone do as far as a straight person playing a gay person goes and i really love him for that!
