This is a great interview, I'm shocked it isn't one of those things you can buy on DVD because I'd probably get it if I saw it in a store. It's an amazing look into the mind OF Kevin Smith and his takes on film making, bravo sir I appreciate the work you've done.
this was a great interview thanks for uploading it. Are you kind of friends with Kevin Smith because it kind of seems like you've known him for a while.
@hallinilla. Not sure may be the green thing to the left of the screen. Not preoccupied with that although it would be funny if it was :). Great interview from both sides. Also, how would i contact Kevin Smith? I would greatly appreciate having an email address etc. Thanks :)
Thank you so much for posting this. Definitely enjoy hearing Kevin talk about life and whatnot. Could listen to the guy for hours and I know, surely, some of us have w/the Evening series, Smodcast and so forth. Cheers.
The thing is he talks about about the cinematography, but its the dialogue people relate to and find hilarious. His dialogue kicks the shit out of 'better movies' and I enjoy all of his movies, chasing amy is my favorite though.
You know what? I'm probably not the best to comment on Smith because I loved MALLRATS and JERSEY GIRL. I was NOT a fan of CLERKS and "didn't get the hype."
But those other two I really enjoyed. (In fact MALL RATS was what turned me on to Smith.)
Be all, end all, I think he summed it up best when he said (my paraphrase), "Movies mean different things to different people."
Great interview series, folks. Smith is a fantastic speaker.
I love his comment about Clerks on Blu-Ray because - he's not wrong. It loosk ugly but yeah it's fucking brilliant movie. Quintessential 90s stuff. Thanks Stanahan for doing these videos. How did you get the chance to talk to him? I would have been ecstatic to interview him, mind you I'd be more asking about his build up to Clerks because that where I'm at in my life at the moment, like "How the FUCK do I get to Cannes with a finished movie that I've made?" you know. awesome
Is this somehow gonna be available to download or purchase? This was an excellent interview Stranahan - give yourself a bow.
Speaking of downloads - did you notice the way Kevin looked when he mentioned that Threevening was available illegally online? This guy doesn't make the Speilberg money everyone assumes he does. It's a Huge shame people so casually take the money from his pockets & his family's mouth like that. One should always pay for the work we admire most. Artists deserve every penny
My favorite smodcast episodes are, and forever will be the ones where Kevin is baked out of his godamn mind and just rambles. Then him and Mosier will casually proceed to engage in a roleplay. Awesome shit. But yeah, no doubt in my mind he got extremely baked before this interview, I mean just look at what he does at 3:19, hilarious!
Screw that noise - always pay for what you get from Kevin - He doesn't get paid nearly enough for what he does.
Always support your favorite artists - resist downloading other than to check out new talent [And even then if you like it go out and pay for what you love]
I've read his books and all the way though all I could think was man, I just wanna chill and play poker with this guy, he's so down to earth and humble that he's instantly likeable.
@Stranahan Thanks again man, great interview - although with Kevin Smith all you gotta do is suggest a topic and you're good right :D - This kind of thing is where Youtube actually justifies its existence. Bravo :)
@Stranahan I really appreciate this, Stranahan. I am, like you said yourself in one of the parts, someone who has come from watching clerks as a teen to someone who's invested in film and the art now. And to be able to practically have an hour long conversation with KS.. I'm glad I found this. If you were to sell it, I would buy the DVD.
thanks for the Uploads. . i watched them all straight through. . PEACE!!!. . The Eturn

Anywhere that's awesome enough to have it.
I've found evening with at blockbuster a few times.
But for evening harder and threevening I had to go with piratebay. Though you can find a lot of stuff from the series here on youtube.
