After having tryed this amp now, the following seems to work: (ch1 crunch, rool back trebl and pres., mids about 3o'clock, bass 2 o'clock, gain almost at 4-5 o'clock), this should give you nice gain a la jcm 800, without the buzzzzz sound.
ch2, roll back gain treble and pres., otherwise => buzz danger. Still a bit too trebly though...
they advertise those as marshall like amps, I don't think this sounds anywhere close to a marshall, this has more bottom end, and totally diff. type of distortion
Nice demo! Do you know if the 50/100 version does sound really different from this one? Cause the you're getting from this is very very nice, nice playing too!
@kissmyaxx you can hear he has some delay. And I can't remember if it has its own reverb or not. Other than that, I've tried this amp and it gets plenty of gain.
Finally, someone doing a great demo of the Stiletto. Most of the demos on here are of guys with $5000 rigs who can't play a lick to save their lives. Awesome chops and sound.
Nice phrasing in (what sounded like) the lydian part bro! Wish I had your fast-playing technique down. My phrasing's good, but I can't get my chops up to par with what I want to play...any suggestions on how to improve fast picking? Just metronome exercises? I've tried and can't get it to happen when I start moving string to string.
@SteveHubbardGuitar does this thing have enough gain on tap for heavy agressive metal stylings? Is this stage1 or 2? you have some great tones man, very nice. I just got offered one for my rect-o-verb 50 and i prefer the brit tone but, i need my gain, lol.thanks in advance
really tasty playing. Besides that i love the tone you get out of the Suhr and the Stiletto. I can`t help myself but i think that must be the best lead tone i come across on you tube. What is the main reason for this set aside from your playing: The amp or your guitar. How do you think does the Stieltto compare to a Marshall JVM?
@SimpleMind1 i'd say the guitar. it has sounded great through every amp i've plugged it into.. but the amp also plays such a huge roll in this tone.. the JVM and the stiletto, are similar, but still very different. i'd honestly have to A/B them and see which amp my ears prefer! i can see myself using either, though
We all get that I think man, YOUTUBE is full of idiots. This really is a great video, I especially love the bit at the end, but as you know I'm a sucker for dramatic yet elegant sounding jams. We jem colleb getha on it, k bf ?.
I've never used a rack setup before, though I've definitely thought about the triaxis.. If I recall, you played in the first Shred This and have RIPPIN' phrasing and chops.. Keep it up dude
haha thanks man, just posted my shred this too take, my timing is brutal on it... and you're way beyond my level man, you're phrasing and tone are amazing..
