this is replaying to strawberrykiss5 : no i think 17hh horses are too big, for me anyway so i like, 14-15hh but little ponys are just incredibly easy to fall of. as much fun as they are they are so easy to fall off! theres like no possible way to stay on once your falling!

awww, do you have your own horse? iv been riding for 5 years nd nothing yet, all i have to do i have riding lessons a few times a week and thats it! lol, see if you can bend your arms and lower your hands cuz its making the horse tense, and shorter you reins when your on a hack as you'll have sooo much more controll :D x

@BethanHorseMad Haha it all takes time to get a horse. My parents waited to allow me to get a horse to actually see if i was gonna keep going with it or just have a horse and let her go. But I sure proved them wrong !!! Just let it have some time. I was riding for 7 years before i got mine.

Most lessons Millie 3 times Misty. rode her 1 time Archiee (lovedd him) most lessons Sunshine (i learnt to jump properly on herrr, lovedd her). Most lessons kingsley. 1 timee

I love to trott. Canter is my worst atm. I just cant sit in that saddle properly! Before i found out that you had to go with the movement of the horse.... I uswed to just sit there LOL

erm yeah lol i've been riding 6 years so it's kind of hard not to like trotting :L

Yeah, I guess, I rhink i'll get used to it. But my coach tapped the whip on the ground and I didnt know the horse was going to take off that fast so I freaked out trying to stop him but I was holding on the the saddle and reins so I wouldnt fall off. Ya it was freaky.

trottings fine. do u find it bouncy? if you ride english you can post. Thats why they call it posting/rising trot and sitting trot. posting is rising up and down to the rythem of the trot so its not bouncy and sitting trot is when you sit to the trot. hope that helped.

I find it odd how so many people are attracted to ponies, in the sense they prefer riding them.. I personally prefer riding 17hh horses.. Is there actually a difference?

yeah ponies are more fun and springy! and on 17hh horses you have further to fall lol

I'm with you! For some reason I'd much rather ride my 16.1 hand draft cross instead of my 15 hand draft cross haha. I just feel more comfortable on bigger horses

Horses have just as much fun to ride, but I tend to assocciate them with serious riding, when I'm riding a nice hyper little pony, all the years of dressage and eventing training go away, and I just wanna gallop with them :D

i ride at arundel stables and i get put n a new horse every week but now i have had 9 lessons there i no which ones are the right size for me they always put me on this cheeky one jeago they say his past habbit was to torcha little kids!so i must be quite a good rider coz he don't torcha me....or he just liks me!

aww i remember that lesson at 4:13- me on smartie in the background... it was my last at callum park. And I remember what a little nightmare bluebell was being after the hack lol.
