It's good microphone technique to hold the microphone like that. The sound quality is better, that's how you are supposed to hold it!
If you don't take voice lessons already, you should because you have an amazing amount of potential!

Keep you arem at your side. You don't have to put your hand on your heart if your singing. It makes it look awkward.

Technically, she's not "squeezing her gut", she's doing it to make sure she's projecting from her diaphragm. I used to do it, but once I started doing open mike nights, my voice teacher said I needed to stop doing it 'cause it looks unprofessional.
