  • mine is afraid for my hands..

what do you thin i can do best?

    robin

  • how do i get my bird to touch the target?

  • you don't need to starve your birds to train them. that's just not how to do it the right way. if you aren't able to train them normally, that's a sign that maybe they're not willing to be trained. unless you're one of those diehard trainers you' ll let them be at at peace after you've tried everything short of starving them.

you dont' need special treats either. i just use a sunflower seed (for birds, not the salted ones). they love them as treats. or any random bird seed, they love them all.

  • @SirThomasII i dont no how to let my love bird let me touch it or even come near me. help!!!

  • @clubpenguin1363 just talk to it nicely and give it treats, and just try to hold it. dont threaten to hit it either.

  • BRR--A-Vo :)

  • cosa utilizzi come premio?

  • hello what treat did u give him, plz reply fast am not able to find a treat to give him by my hand, coz here millet spray isnt available atall

  • Fuck the haters. This video shows how trust can built, so stop the bad comments.

    Sweet bird btw (;

  • how did you train that bird? mine is like rejects the food i'm giving when its in my hand.. bat when its on their plate.. or something.. they eat it.. do i need to hunger them? :))

  • I think you should try to train them when they are hungry, it really does work! :)

  • take food out the night before and do training before you give them breakfast.

  • the clicker is just a "clear" understanding. You can use other methods to assossiate with something they like (FOOD).

  • do all lovebirds need to use a clicker or can they be trained well without one! Like can u just say a command and then they like do the trick for a treat without the clicker??

  • cllicker is just like saying good everytime they do something right.

  • @EkkoDejio Everytime when you click your lovebird knows he is going to get some food. the "command" ist the targed stick or things like "stay" "run" "fly" and so on...

im sorry if my english isnt good ; )

  • why do people use clickers? do lovebirds like it? or do you just use it and help them? or does it do something to them? please tell me.

  • they use clickers because that way the bird learns to associate that sound with a treat and is willing to perfrom the specific trick you are teaching it.

  • what the hell is the matter with you? if you gonna make negative comments do it somewhere else. it's not a magic trick man it's training them to get used to you just as you said..that's what clicker training is so what you gettin all worked up about. that's the first step in training, always...after that i taught it a lot of other actual tricks. the people who really are pathetic are those who resort to insults, i'm sorry you don't have much else to do during your day.

    cheers man.

  • Don't pay any attention to the trolls. All he's doing is trying to get you riled up. Training, if done correctly, is a wonderful enrichment activity for our birds. Who cares if we only teach our birds the same tricks we've seen others do... that's hardly the point.

    Keep up with the training!

  • @afgrebel786 because u probably slap it all day. Stare at it for 2 hours. Thats what i did for it to gt useed to me.

  • bull shit what man? no magic here hahah it's all real, this was a while ago ahhaha. he's a smart bird.

  • nice!@!!!!

  • what did u treat him?what food is that

  • i simply give him a small grass seed. they love simple seeds with husks like that.

another alternative is sunflower, however too much of that is bad for them because of the fats and oils in it.

  • nice job!

i got a lovebird too but i dotn know how to tame it. it doesnt bite or anything it jus flies away wheneva i go near it! if any1 has any ideas for training/taming lovebirds dat defo work cud ui plz mail me n tell me how u did it i wud really appreciate it.

    thx

  • is it handraised? if it isn't it's going to be VERY hard to tame. there are many articles online about how to approach it.

  • I've seen your vids. pretty cool...with the left an' right thing. I also taught my lovebird to wave, I'll post a vid on here when I can.

  • Nice job! Would love to see a follow up video with more training (including mistakes and learning).
