I think the caller has a point although isn't able to present it well. Clearly there hasn't been world peace since the invention of nuclear weapons but there hasn't been any mass invastions like there has been throughout history. I think its less likely that another Hitler will try to conquer the world. Without guns its far easier for gangs to pillage villages like they did in medievil times.
