259, great robot. The kind of weapon you'd want to find in series 6. BUT, entering series 6... with unprotected "chains" for the weapon... and NO SCHRIMECH? Really?
259 wasnt counted out when the time finished so therefore the immobilization shouldnt have counted in to the decision - 259 were screwed out of a win there.
@discombobulator97 not really, 259's drive belt was exposed and wild thing has always been known for being able to take a heck of a lot of damage. 259 Just wasn't a reliable bot and it was immobilized at the end. If it were a sword fight... it's like inflicting lots of dents and holes into your opponents armor for him a the end to come along and just cut your head off... clearly you can't come back form that.

I think Wild Thing would have won even if 259 wasn't immobolized at the end because they had broken 259's weapon whereas 259 didn't really do that much to Wild Thing; it was mainly aggression and as we all know, damage counts for more than aggression. The massive combo looked good but was unsuccessful in doing any major damage to Wild Thing. Shame...
@Rhapsodyas no, wild Thing bashed into 259 and the chain fell off from the impact but whether Wild Thing caused the chain to fall of or not it still counts against 259 as damage. Also, Wild Thing did a lot of pushing after the chain fell off. Besides, 259 being immobolized at the end didnt do it any favours so it was definitely the right decision.

They also took more damage (Wild Thing only took superficial damage at the back while 259 lost the disc belt). Overall it was the right decision, but i felt bad for 259 as those 20 seconds were incredible.
I just remembered something, remember when Firestorm were against The Morgue, The Morgue weren't immobolised for 30 secs but the judges said that they were so mayby the same thing aplied here. :-)

I thought that 259 would win for sure! The bigger the saw, the better the chance, eh? Wild Thing's saw is tiny compared to 259's saw! That's because Wild Thing was built so that it could be flipped over without being demobilized. Anyways, I hope 259 mk II can secure the belt better. That was so lucky!

Bear in mind the fights are edited. That, and Sir Chromalot was only not capable of getting back up because it was being blocked, whilst 259 was immobilised completely.
One of the best fights in Series 6. Is it just me, or were all the judges desions in S5,S6 with Wildthing in, (During the heats) were fixed. Like in S5 With Prizfighter. All WT did was selfright and won on a judges desion.
but is the same series they got a taste of it's own medicine by losing in a judges decision with the then grand champion chaos 2 while wild thing was pushing chaos 2 into the pit some smoke from the pit. But in robot wars everybody knows that if the robot is in the pit of oblivion with smoke or the battle is not over.
He built the disc, and probably made the rest of the robot as an afterthought.

I doubt a chain drive on that flywheel would have helped.
Seems like most bot drivers with weapons like 259's usually use belt drives anyways. I wonder if it's for weight or some other reason.

I really like 259 but this just shows Wild Thing's main strength: it's durability. Plus Wild Thing knocked the drive belt off to begin with.

259 was immobilised 25 sec minimum, and Seeded robots never have an advantage going to the judges eg. 13 Black vs Stinger, seeded 11.
