This is stupid as hell. Also. Let's not compare epilepsy and art. If this 'artist' has epilepsy and is writing about it then fine. But if he doesn't, he has no business incorporating it into his music or his music videos.
I have epilepsy, I refuse2 let it get the better of me & am starting a contemporary fine art foundation degree, designing sculptural dresses which i sell/exhibit aswell as writing a book on my epilepsy. At uni I aim to video my seizures, (which shouldnt be hard due2 frequency of them!) I then intend 2 breakup scenes with images of myself when I am in my element!
The intention will be 2 use modern art 2shock make people question their perception of disability/epilepsy!!!
The video may be beautiful and imaginative, the music lovely but I think the perception that "Epilepsy is Dancing" is offensive. Epilepsy is devastating. I can't imagine that anyone would wish to have it or celebrates the condition.
@mainemermaidx. Hi Mainemermaid. Of course epilepsy is devastating to those who do not have the condition. No one would wish to have it, but if you do, you too are beautiful.
I think it's been flagged not because of breasts of dancers, but because it shows in the beginning an epilepsy attack and this can impress someone. I am totally against any form of flagging, but this is not completely ununderstandable.
ok seriously why was this flagged. there's nothing pornographic, violent or obscene in the video. yes it is somewhat erotic, but there's nothing explicit in the video.
They're not making any kind of derogatory comment about people with Epilepsy. Anyone who dances or performs any kind of art, whether it be painting, sculpting drawing writing or digital, etc. understands that it's really about how your mind and body goes into a another state; sometimes it can feel like a trance state. Anyway beautiful song and video and they were amazing at this Sunday's Coachella 2009! ;}*
There IS somthing subliminal in this song and if u dnt know what it is im not going to tell u because u dnt deserve to know. The song in itself is beautiful and even tho this video is amazing (because i choose to see it for what i do) its still doesnt do the actual song justice and its just sad that some people have to take "Epilepsy is dancing" to literaly and im willing to bet those same people dnt have much of an interest in art.

Many people lead successful and happy lives with epilepsy.
There are many different types of seizures which you can find out more about through Epilepsy Action or similar organisation.
Epilepsy clearly is not dancing. It is not a medical trait of the condition. This video would not represent a person having an asthma attack in the same manner - so why epilepsy?
what a shame people don't realise Antony doesn't mean any harm is just talking about art in the movements of a body dancing...it's like his song "Hitler in my Heart", he is certainly NOT a "Hitler nostalgic" as some people commented. He is just a truly talented artist!!!

I think this is the most discusting video i have ever seen and like above epileptics dont get up and walk away with a satisfied look on their face at all...
epilepsy is serious and this video is in no way heping or maen a difference its stupid and i hate it
this song is art, not a medical programme, sorry he is just too artsitic to get an a eppileptic fit accurate. not ot mention, its the sogn not the video people listen too, not the video, even if it is amasingly perfect!
I have epilepsy, and yes I dont get up with a satisfied look postfit, infact, I dont get up for a long time, but I still liked it and found parts funny.
I've seen what epilepsy attack looks like in real life. After the seizure ends a person doesn't exactly stroll away with a satisfied look on their face.
If it wasn't Antony, I'd hate the video,if it wasn't for such a lovely song. The concept though is kind of intriguing. Perhaps it is meant to come across a little not-classily?

@TheBrianaco More should think like yourself, it is awful and it scares me everytime I have one as I convulse and foam at the mouth.
BUT it isn't the end, life is out there to be captured and embraced and we should take as much as we can and do that!
We are all beautiful and judgement should only be held for court rooms!!!!

oh btw, the ending to the song is awesome.

id say it was flagged because the dancers are topless, and though body painted, breasts still visible..

the song was written about the dance moves of Kazoou Ohno, Antony saw his performances and was inspired to write "Epilepsey Is Dancing"
he's not a fuckin' doctor, he didnt write it about the illness, just the manic, beautiful style in which Kazou dances
so shut it

you shouldn't look this video as if it's really about epilepsy...to me its just about real beauty self-lose and other things i cant explain
