  • I am happy to have re-discovered the Chuckwagon Gang. I remember my mom and dad listening to their music in the late 50's.

  • This is my favorite song by the Chuck Wagon Gang. This generation does a beautiful job. I have been listening to them for at least fifty years, or more. Love their style and how it's being preserved, the sound is so close to the original group.

I also love He Hideth My Soul, that has Shaye Truex in it. Dave is the best bass, love him.

  • I love this most beautiful song I have listened to it a dozen times if not more and I will keep coming back so thanks for posting this video awesome.

  • Great singing, but the bass is a bit muddled.

  • The bass singer looks like Richie Farmer!

  • I was beginning to wonder if the song was ever going to end or if he just went on forever.

  • Just for the record, I'm 32, and I like the Churck Wagon Gang!

  • I've never quit listening to the CWG....they're awesome!!!

  • Man that bass singer makes this

    song. Love it, THANKS.

  • Oh My! I love the Chuck Wagon Gang! I have been listening to this music all my life and I am 52 years!

  • I like the Chuck Wagon Gang and I am only 67 year old.

  • I like the chuckwagon gang and I am only 14

  • As the grandson of a former member of the Chuckwagon gang....I thank God my Grandparents rasied me in this lifestyle. I am now 45 and have been in the business 33 years. Thank you Grandma!!

  • The very best gospel singers that ever stood on stage bar none. Wayne in Canada

  • man, i remember this from when i was a child. sure did like the chuckwagon gang.....

  • Why don't we hear this great music anymore? If it were on the radio, I'd tune in regularly. Am I old fashioned?

  • No, you're not old-fashioned at all, I'm 33 and on of my fav's by them is "Blessed Jesus Hold My Hand"...I loved em as a kid and still do.

  • We heard the Chuckwagon Gang at Renfro Valley, Kentucky. They are wonderful. Anyone who gets a chance to hear them--try to do so. I am so happy they are keeping this old music alive.

  • I wish someone would issue a cd compiling their Vocalion, Okeh and Columbia 78s

  • My grandmother loved the Chuckwagon Gang. We found at least 5-6 albums of theirs in her house, when she died. She loved listening to them a lot.

  • I went to a Chuckwagon concert in Pine Bluff, Arkansas many years ago..they were some of the original singers back then, these younger singers sound much like the "originals" good job..."looking for a city" many have gone on to be with the Lord in that..City!

  • great job thought they could have slowed it down a little though, of course I have a cd of the original where they sing this song.

  • As a kid in the late 40's my Uncle brought .45

rpm records of the Chuck Wagon Gang to our family vacation...what a blessing to hear their sound again even with new members!

  • I was whatching the newest Gaither release and they happen to mention this wonderful Group and was so happy to find this. Thanks for posting it.

  • Thank you for posting this video I must have watched and listened 50 times...motivates me to find out where the CWG is performing and to see them in person. This is the perfect song for them.

  • You are very welcome and I am glad that all of you enjoy this video as much as I do, What a Blessing.

    Thanks

  • @HaralsonChat

I ALSO LIKE ECHOES FROM BURNING BUSH

  • My mother gave me an album by them around 1971/72 and I appreciate her instilling this wonderful southern gospel genre in me.

  • I got my appreciation for this great music from my parents too. I wish I had appreciated it more while they were alive. It is the very best music.

  • An American tradition we are so proud of and that cant be out sourced-ever.

  • I love this song. They are almost as good as the originals. I wish there was more southern gospel music like this. Sometimes I think they try to jazz it up too much and still try to call it Southern Gospel when it starts to sound more like country or pop music.

  • Hallelujah!

    These guys are legends.

What a unique blend of harmony.

  • My Mom had an actual albumn of the CWG and I grew listening to them!!

  • Love the voice of the woman on the left. Are there any videos of her singing solo? What is her name?

  • The lady to the left's name is Penny Greene. I believe they have her singing the melody line on 'I'm gonna see Heaven'.

  • It's like Sunday dinner with fried chicken and mashed potatoes with all the family there when I hear these guys..sound had stayed pretty much the same from the 40's when I first heard most of the origianl group!

  • I grew up listening to and watching the Chuck Wagon Gang and most others from that time. My parents being ministers, I got to go to a lot of concerts. Those were the good ol' days.

  • I like the original Chuck Wagon Gang better, but you guys are very good!

  • Nothing's quite like the Happy Goodmans...but this is excellent too. 5/5

  • they really keep that original sound. i have all the LPs of the orginal Chuck Wagon Gang and just love Anna and Rose

  • Are you aware that the one singing alto, is the granddaughter of Anna?

  • So amazing ... but, there are less videos of 'em on YouTube ... like to have vids of 'em more here.

Praise the Lord ... Amen ...

  • very good but i look for the A beautifullife from the year of 1936 the orginal who can help me thanks

  • They have been awesome for the past 50 years that I have heard them! They still sound the same as the originals. I try to see them at least once or twice a year! Thanks for the video!

  • Thanks to all of you for your comments, I get a Blessing every time I watch this video, I am glad that you all enjoy this one as much as I do. Truely Gospel music, Praise his Holy name.

  • wonderful group of singers. Grew up listening to most of their songs. I am so blessed each time I listen to the songs. Bless the Lord for you all.

  • I love this song, and the Chuck Wagon Gang is one of my favorite Gospel groups. I don't think, however, that it would hurt to turn the tenor down just a bit...I mean the alto has the lead and you can't really hear until towards the end. Oh well, Praise God anyhow. lol

  • Praise the Lord!

  • this song is awesome this is music.

  • Wishes would have more of the regular Chuck Wagon Gang,.Thank very much this.
