Who are the cowards ? The trained soldiers who misfire every once in a while ? (By the way, only those who don't fire at all never make misfires)
Or are the REAL cowards the little fucksters who plant IED in the roads ? Send car-bombs to crowded markets ? Threaten civilians and force them on supporting the taleban ? Hide among the population, after doing the evil acts, and use the said population as a human shield ?
Who is the real coward here ? The tals, no one else.
first of all you either misunderstand or didn't read my comment properly.
First of all, afghans don't need training, they learn how to fight in 30years of russian invasion and civil wars.
And if USA want to finish the terrorist, it should stop funding them. USA is funding Pakistan which is funding terrorist, that is the fact that eve many Nato army generals know about it.
"USA is funding Pakistan which is funding terrorist"
True, true. The subject would require more development but, to put it that way, it is well known that at least a substantial part of I.S.I., Pakistani military secret service, has close relations with the fundamentalists and terrorists of the tribal zone.
But the U.S., I guess, can't just say "we stop funding you, so from now on you're on your own and have to make the terrorists stop attacjing us from your territory"
Oh yes, they do. Not on how to fire a gun, of course. It's more like a matter of discipline and esprit de corps, patriotism to be built between Afghans from different ethnic groups. Then, all current members of the ANA aren't necessarily former mujahideen, some are just peasants or craftsmen from cities, so they all need training to all have the same knowledge of the art of war.
Besides, as a humble civilian, from what I've been able to watch and hear about, they have problems in maintaining their weapons and other pieces of gear. I mean they favor old Soviet/Russian gear and weaponry because you hardly ever have to carry out maintenance on it, unless it is broken. But now they have more modern equipment and vehicles, they have to, somehow, take care of their stuff and not wait for a piece to jam or break to dismantle a weapon or engine and repair it.
For example, after every patrol, once they got back to their bases, the Coalition soldiers, from all nations, dismantle all of their personnal or squad weapons, clean it up from dust, look at the degree of wear of every single chip and piece, replace what has to be replaced, oil it up and reassemble it, to make it ready for the next patrol. Same thing goes for the vehicles, whether ground or air vehicles.
What I mean is that many of the current Afghan troopers don't have yet the reflex to regularly carry out maintenance on their equipments. Though many current ANA members were already soldiers some 30 years ago and still retain much of the things they were taught during boot camp and during service time.
The mujahideen who fought the russians are the ones in afghanistan facilitating Americas continued presence, they cant stand the Taliban, they fought them during the civil war in 1994.

"End these wars now"
Sorry, buddy, but it doesn't exactly work that way, to say the least.
But if you're so sure about that whole "hippy peace and love stuff", then proceed and try to convince the terrorists ...

reckon they should replace the pintle mount and co-ax with a US made version. just so they can share ammo and so it won't hamper logistics.
