Can't get WLAN to work? Doesn't find any networks... Chose the correct driver.

The battery suddenly popped up, so it registered that.

But how to fix WLAN?

Did you end up getting WLAN to work? Airport scans but never finds networks. This is the closest I've ever got to a completely functional os (besides my two other macs...)

Is there a way to make airport see the atheros driver?

No, it doesn't work.

But look for a Mini Pci Wireless Card Dell 1390 on ebay, cheap! Only $5. Will give you native AirPort AFAIK.

However, I never managed to get sleep/hibernate working. If I find a sleep/hibernate fix, I will consider installing it again. iPC 10.5.6 worked excellent on my HP DV9500, but I never got sleep and WiFi working. But this WiFi-card will fix WiFi, but I don't know any sleep/hibernate fix yet.

Please contact me if you know how to get sleep working!

Thanks for the reply. The mini PCI wireless card will work in the asus eee pc 900? You were talking about the HP DV9500, so I don't want to get it if it was made for that instead. Also, did you have to install any patches or additional kext files to get the card working?

I'll look for any sleep/hibernate fix as I'm having the same issues.

@acemonvw The mini PCI should work with any computer. I just listed my DV9500-series computer (DV9575) because it's a fast laptop. It's C2D with 2Ghz and 4GB RAM, and I had OS X on it earlier booting in less than 15 seconds, but due to not getting sleep to work, I gave up.

After testing it, it did not work. However, I believe I mistakenly removed the harddrive, since it was in the back next to the RAM, using a pci slot. I have since tested that theory and am correct, there was no internal harddrive. Just to clarify, I have the 16gb asus eee pc 900 win xp edition. Is there even a place for the wireless card? I opened the computer up and couldn't see a card that could be replaced.

Yes, that was my problem. For some stupid reason, the harddrive is accessible while the wifi card is not... Whatever. You must take the whole computer apart and change it with the 1390 Dell wifi card that nordemoniac described earlier. After that, it works perfectly fine, no need to install kext files.

I think it does, because, in part 1, he installs the atheros wifi chip drivers when he customised his install.

Hey i did this to my Asus eee pc 1000H and it installed, but now it just will not boot. All that comes up is the white apple boot screen, but it never boots, it just stays on that screen...Please help if you can,
