He is very interesting as a politician: even though I wouldn't agree on some of his positions, he is nurturing quite interesting debates in Europe and the rest of the world. But it surprises me that the anti-EU folks haven't understood that he's supporting the EU and the Czech membership of it (which he is explicitly clear about in many of his speeches which can be found on youtube), but merely had doubts about the Lisbon Treaty.

I'm one of Czech people and I'm very ashamed of him. He was our prime minister for a long time and he used to have great influence to our politics. But as a president he cannot govern thus he just try to be interesting for media by his attitudes. And his attitudes are so simple - to be against everything popular (against global warming, against European Union,...). He is boring with it.

The Czechs sometimes don't like these two states, because of the Munich Agreement. But, we have to say, these states have a big democratical tradition already. Unfortunately, the Czechs lived 40 years under communism, so they are learning to continue in Masaryk's democracy. And it's not only France and the UK. I speak especially about Scandinavian countries, Ireland or Benelux. Also today's Germany is a quite reasonable state.
