  • I've never really appreciated Jason McGerr's technical ability up until now. That left foot of his is awesome.

  • At the end it sounded like he was playing the new single.

  • excellent.

  • omg i think i saw him when i visted miami .... he was at dolphin mall playing in a jazz band outside .... i didnt want to leave :)

  • What snare drum is this?

  • @493john Pearl 14x6.5 Reference Steel Snare Drum

  • whoa that was cool. I saw a blast beat in there =D. lol. Yay for metal influences!

  • if you listen to the opening of Black and Blue from Haywire, you will recognize the same patter as Grapevine Fires.

  • Is that the Supraphonic or Black Beauty? That's such a nice sounding snare.

  • Not only does he play Grapevine Fires..he plays it in reverse later on.

  • there was a little grapevine fires in there :D

  • Grapevine Fires @ 0:32

  • Does anyone know where to find cheap cymbals? Is their mycymbal website cheap compared to others? Im looking for either meinl byzance, sabian HH and HHx or Paiste 20's.

  • good luck.

  • @sketchbager

lol. ill probably get used....its used once if beat on it enough anyway I guess...Bought a used sabian before, turned out great.

  • ebay

  • gotta learn that fool in the rain shuffle

  • hey actualy does a different kind of shuffle groove but i see what u mean

  • What cymbals does he use with Death Cab?

  • nowadays he uses paiste twentys.

  • saw him at the modern drummer festival, great teacher, great technique, silky smoooth drummer - awesome!

  • geeez..this guys is AMAZING.

  • @vikas

how much does this dude make?

  • Honestly, no idea. But I'm sure he's not into this for the money.

  • Ah! at 0:32 he plays Grapevine Fires! Such a technical drummer and I love it!

  • I love that Grapevine Fires groove. Very subtle compared to hard-hitting punk/metal beats but almost as hard, if not harder!

  • are those standardtwenty hi-hats, or the lights?

thanks im trying to compare the two but havnt heard the lights

  • They appear to be the light hats. The Memphis channel has individual videos of each cymbal anyways.

  • No, I think they are 13" Twenty hi-hats... Twenty Light hi-hats don't come in 13", and these here are definitely not 14".

  • 0:15-0:20, so nice, simple but, I'd like to learn it haha.

  • amazing cymbals!!!!

  • that cymbals sound amazing

  • I love this guy

  • Wow!
