  • The slow grind of employment under a hard taskmaster.

  • 4 me this is the swans at their peak. dropped lots of hard core acid to this and i mean proper real acid that makes u see how tiny and insignificant u really r. hahahha learn from experience, dont' b useless, waste is obscene. yeah come back to real reality

  • shit

  • @AlexanderJayxo Oh look, someone who want to fuck that plastic cunt Rihanna!

  • @MirrorballJack Ignore the little shit. He can run on for a long, long time. Death's gonna cut him down.

  • @MirrorballJack I'm not a fan of Rihanna actually :s I prefer real beauty like Amy Winehouse and others had...Why did you even bring that up anyway... also any man who wouldn't give Rihanna one is a homosexual not that I remotely like her :s

  • @AlexanderJayxo You must be gay if you want to fuck those ugly trannys, they may look like chicks, but they still have dicks.

  • @robinzhooded how are they trannys... You're an incoherent fool

  • @AlexanderJayxo You wouldn't ever be able to find out if they are or not anyway, stop dreaming about having sex with people that will never go 1000 feet of you or anyone else not in their rich circle of friends.

  • @robinzhooded Are you serious I'm not dreaming about them... :s you're the one talking about them you freak. I didn't even mention anyone until you made a comment. There's that word again incoherent

  • apparently this recording was a huge influence on the skinchamber ide project of the guys from controlled bleeding !!!

  • my ears are body builders now, this song is so heavy!

  • anyone else aware that napalm death nicked this tune for the re-worked version of "multi national corporations" that appeared on their 1987 peel session and on the split with s.o.b.?

  • anyone with half a brain knows that this is the heaviest album ever. PERIOD.

  • You can see where grindcore bands and industrial metal bands got their cue...

  • this is fucking heavy!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The heaviest thing on the planet so far.....

  • swans definatly changes your whole perspective once you "get" them and get into them. they make most bands seem like awful jokes, like they were clones born off a brainwashed assembly line..

  • SWANS defined their own place in "Rock". Brutality and welding power bigger than sound. Hipsters don't get it. Primal and real!!! @radioamor: i agree!!!!@ industrymonkey: Big Black was intense and brutal in their own as well

  • Holy shit you can hear Justin Broadricks inspiration in this, especially the guitar work - lush!

  • @Edd731 yeah, one of the first Godflesh songs "Malewhoreslag" (when they were still called Fall of Because) is just this song slowed down!

  • Swans wrote the formula for true intensity. Big Black is another good noise-rock band.

  • "swans" and "no wave" should NOT be in the same sentence. piss off

  • @LAGisINtheAIR No-Wave is to Swans what Travis Barker is to plane crashes.

  • right on radiomar swans werent really no wave they were just swans

  • Such a great song!!! I still love this album. The best,,,,

  • This makes a "Br00tal" kiddie shit their pants.

  • Probably the most brutal non-metal band. And, needless to say, a hell of a lot more brutal than some of the stuff 12-year old wannabe metal kiddies say is "8r00t4l"

  • @crowbarftw this is more brutal than any metal i've ever heard. devourment, cannibal corpse, mortician, etc... are JOKES compared to this (and i like those bands). coming from a metal fan, i think that noise and industrial is much harsher and more brutal than metal.

  • work with a purpose

    waste is obscene

    Don't make a wrong Move>>>>>>>

  • \M/

  • Every scenester fuck in from Williamsburg to LA should study this before they go spouting off some bullshit about being influenced by "no wave" bands

  • Comment removed

  • @radioamor YES. AGREED! (if only because this really WAS inspired by no wave)

  • @radioamor

I don't think Michael Gira would necessarily approve of people "studying" his band -- that's not a very raw or no wave attitude with which to approach music. He certainly wasn't "studying" any bands when he was writing music -- he was just doing what felt right. Or atleast that's my impression.

  • @junkienurseable ironically i saw an interview somewhere and he claimed that he hated the no wave scene. reguardless of being influenced by bands that were part of it..

  • @radioamor

Though I agree the whole trend of claiming to be influenced by No Wave when you sound absolutely nothing like No Wave (*cough* Deerhunter *cough*) simply because it's hip to say so is really really dumb.

  • @junkienurseable amen to that.

  • Comment removed

  • @junkienurseable

Someone isn't familiar with Deerhunter's first record.

  • @radioamor scenester fuck???? educate this aussie, wtf is a scenester? i have no idea but it sounds good, maybe a scene vampire,a social vampire?

  • That picture is a close up of a tooth.

  • What the fuck is that thing on the cover photo?

  • That thing on the cover photo is your ignorance.

  • Good point.

  • It's a the profile of a morbidly fat woman

  • i just found that out on wikipedia that just makes this already mindfuck of an album even creepier

  • i THINK u2 WROTE THIS HAHAHAHAHA

  • Fuck yeah.

  • Words to live by...
