It's great that in such a religious country as USA, theres a resistance like this show that uses solid logic to defend the truth from idiots. Great work!
One thing we know about this universe is that everything that is within our scope is explainable by natural means, so it is more reasonable to say the things outside our scope (like the origin of universe, which we can never observe) are also explainable by natural means than to say that just because they are outside our scope that they need a supernatural explanation.
I thought her point was going to be that if you also count transcendent dice, then it throws all reasonable calculation out the window, and there's no practical purpose in factoring transcendent dice because it has an infinite margin of error.

Hahaha...
They just gave the BEST argument FOR creationism. Way to go guys. That completely and totally backfired. It is far more plausible, logical, and within scientific fact that a "God" created the known universe than for everything to just spontaneously "poof" into existence. Their "singularity" is a perfect example of transcendent dice. They have absolutely no clue what this "singularity" is. Thanks for the support, we truly appreciate it.
No, I get it. I completely understand, probably more than the presenters do I'm sure. Their explanation of a non-intelligent "singularity" (for which they have absolutely no definition for) could magically "poof" everything into existence is much more plausible than an all knowing intelligence creating, and designing, the known universe.
Ok, I'm actually not sure if you are joking. If you're not joking then you are spectacularly missing the point of the fallacy model. The presenters did not assert anything regarding the origins of the universe, they simply demonstrated the fallaciousness of claiming that you can make assertions like that. Even if they had asserted that a 'singularity' had created the universe, it is entirely possible that both them and you could be wrong. It's not a case of singularity vs God.
Nonsense. We know a lot about the big bang. When it occurred, what came out of it, the conditions of the universe immediately afterwards, which current laws break down and which do not, its lower limit for temperature, etc. We know about other singularities such as black holes. We can describe aspects of the big bang through math.
We know something about the big bang so we can discuss it. We know nothing about God, yet the religious can tell us in detail about him?
They are saying that there is evidence for evolution (or any other thing about the universe), therefore it's reasonable to say that things with evidence are a good thing to believe, rather than something that has no evidence.
Only after the mountain of assumptions you have to make that are not supported by evidence for there to be a god.
"logical,"
How so? I think by logical, you mean "plausible." (See above.)
"and within scientific fact"
So the fact that all we know about the origin of the universe is that there was a singularity and then the universe entered existence directly suggests that there's more? That's like saying gravity suggests that there are spirits pulling us down.
well there might be many million dices in that jar if you think universe paradox if you zoom enough out it looks like the atoms and such like planets :P so maybe theres a super tiny world just like ours inside that glass whit many dices :P or such :P
I ordered Supernatural Transcendent Dice, but they came in a carboard box and I'm afraid they will get lost, does anyone know where I can buy some of those magical jars that hold unlimited amounts?

You are just saying that to make religious people look stupid.

surely there is but one trancedental die in the jar
and it is the ONE true die

Tubehab - Can you explain how that backfired? Seems to me like you're missing the point that they're demonstrating.
