Re: Dark vs. Dove - both have been used in different versions of the song. In earlier recordings of Leonard Cohen's song it was "Dove", but in the Rufus Wainwright version and some newer ones, the word "Dark" is used instead. In some more recent performances, Cohen has even used the word "Ghost". Cohen has routinely added and amended verses of this and many of his songs.
