@BananaJSSI Yes they are! Very social and love to spend time with their owner. I like that they are not screamers like some other parrots. My daughter has some that just scream to hear them self scream.
@kibigenis I had a Patagonian Conure for 10 years and that was a noisy bird! My loudest though was our Blue & Gold Macaw. I love our Poinus parrot. I do have videos of it uploaded on my channel.
@BananaJSSI Daughter had a sun conure and it had some pipes on it for such a little bird. Her Blue and Gold Macaw wasn't that bad but she has I forget the name of it but a all yellow parrot (fairly expensive) beautiful bird but if she leaves him he can be heard for a block away. I will take a look at the videos. Simba will watch them with me and lets see what he thinks :)
I am sorry to hear about that. I worry about hawks as well when I have my bird out in the yard with me but he loves to be out with me to clean the yard and barbeque dinner :)
My daughter is a manager at a exotic bird store and she told me that pionus are not known for their talking ability at all. He is real clear in what he says it is just hard for me to get him to say much but what is on the video on command. The rest of what he says is very much when he wants and not a moment sooner or by cue :) He is alot of fun I love him.
I like this onemy pionus name is simba too.work for disney so my birds has disney name.
