Hey dude! Nice gear u got. Despite what majority of people are saying i think ur doing good in ur efforts! I have to admit though its not the best work ive seen but hell your giving it a crack and thats all that matters. Best do alot of research befor building somthing. Theres no point in building somthing and it not working out the way you want. I see how you hooked up your orions and they sounded like shit cause you put a center divider and two ports that wasn't surpose to be there in the first place and inoticed you messed up so you tryed fiberglassing the top to make it into a sealed enclosure. yo man i wudent off botherd with that box its not ported and will sound wank you want a ported box with ruffly 3-4 cubic foot per sub also you want to put the subs as far away as possible from the port have a look around on youtube for ported boxes but remember when you do your own make sure its atleast 3-4 cubic foot per sub and as far away from the port

sounds like you fell victim to the comments people were saying about your box! I own the 1977 trans am on here with the 2 orion hcca 15.2's and the 3 mtx audio 12" subs and both boxes are sealed and people keep commenting that I should have ported boxes. All I know is my stereo is loud as hell and sounds good so why would I want to get ported boxes?

Very nice and clean and much better for the subs! I just hope you clear the ports of glass before you slam! They'll hit ok but hcca's weren't meant to be sealed at all.

because power acoustics dont put out near the power they say they do. brands like alpine, rf, jbl, jl audio, infinity, kicker, and some others put out the power they say they do or more. if you underpower a sub you can mess it up and if you overpower one you can blow it.

Do NOT believe anything this kid just said.... underpowering a sub cannot and will not blow a sub.... It's a common misconception when dumb asses try to put a small ass amp on a big sub, and usually what happens is itll cause distortion/clipping of the sub and or amp. So basically you can under power the sub, but if you turn the volume up and try to crank it, it will more than likely distort due to the amp trying to produce enough power... ultimately blowing.
