@thrillaminute1 That was a great time for music. It was so eventful. It seemed like every day great music was coming out. So many signature songs and albums from Seattle and the Red Hot Chili Peppers during the late 80s and early 90s. The rap and hip hop scene was really good then, too.
Guys, can you help me? Today I heard something about Lollapalooza and RHCP, but don`t know if there is a video of all the songs. To be more accurate , I need the videos or the mp3 files of magic johnson and the song after it - under the bridge. PLS if somebody can help me, I would be very thankful to them! Write me PM if something :S
I wish I was there, except i remember my mom saying that pearl jam brought all the muscle heads to lollapalooza. oh well pearl jam fucking rules no matter what.
i cant wait till i might go 2 lolla in april at chicago!!!! its gunna b my first concert, soundgarden and greenday and the strokes r gunna be there...too bad lady gagas going to be there, that just ruins it all!! man i wish nirvana could b there!! rip kurt...
@34muggsy34 I am more of a songs person as opposed to a genre person, but you are aware that Stone Gossard is a HUGE rap fan in fact one of his favorite rappers is Ice Cube.
Fist of all you're not "picking on me". So don't get that through your head. Second, I'll fuck with you as much as I want so you can either deal with it or simply stop replying.
I'm watching Pearl Jam play one of my favorite tunes of theirs (too many to mention) and I read the comments below mine. All I see is talk about 'hair' and being anti-progressive towards music which, I thought was/is the point of it. Creating something new every time, not sunning around the same old bush while many others before have already pissed on it. Don't get me wrong though, I love to unmeasurable extent good old 90s music BUT I also believe that art (music being a branch of it) moves on.
haha it's something that mike inez wrote on his acoustic bass for the alice in chains unplugged show as a message towards metallica when they cut their hair. all the talk about long hair made me think of that. excuse the randomness lol
I wonder why Jeff always plays that last bass part slightly different from the studio version. Still, I love it. Pearl Jam never disappoints when playing live :)
And what the hell, nobody talks about Gossard? Look at his style and simple but efective playing, he's awesome! :D
Love PJ... seen them over 10 times- but never cared for this song much. I remember hearing that Eddie doesn't like it much anymore either. They don't play it as much as you'd think anymore..
You're correct, they are tired of it because it got over played on MTV, and Eddie especially was completely against being seen as any better then the average man. Perhaps the main moment that sparked his dislike was when MTV made them perform it at the Music Awards, when they wanted to perform something else. I love the song, but you can't blame Eddie for getting tired of the attention it got.
thanks for pointing that out man ..lol too bad he didnt it would've been cool to have some type of Nirvana/Pearl Jam tour...two of the best in grunge.with two different sounds..would've been great
hmm maybe but based on what I've read Nirvana was pretty much broken up when kurt killed himself. And although Krist was a member i don't think there's much doubt Kurt was the key writer and the head of the band, so Kurt would've had to OK it which I sorta doubt. But that would've been fucking awesome
As do I, then I may have gotten to see them in their prime, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, the good old Metallica, maybe even Mother Love Bone or the Screaming Trees
How true that is Edelien I really hope Live Rock N Roll makes a comeback I am in total disbelief of some of the absolute crap out there like Fag Out Boys and Three Fags Down and that awful band from Canada doing those Citi bank commercials please help us Rock Gods!
3 doors down is not awesome, in fact the word awesome just shows the level you have sunk in this American Idol age of total sheizen!!! Sorry my German is a bit rusty.

Sick~! It was so laid back and hot at the same time. The front was about half full. Some people where rocking hard and others where eating pizza. Eddie said something about stealing the next record. Okay, this Lollapalooza had Soundgarden AND pearl jam, and think what you want about Pearl Jam then or now, this was the only year I can remember when Eddie Vedder was STOKED to be there, he was so happy and present. hey bigtime limp bizkit didnt suck they were at wrestlemania they made the mission imposible soundtrack and if you think they suck watch the woodstock performance

102 reason the 90,s ruled

The early to mid 90's ruled. The late 90's sucked - boy bands, teen pop queens, Limp Bizkit, etc...

hey bigtime limp bizkit didnt suck they were at wrestlemania they made the mission imposible soundtrack and if you think they suck watch the woodstock performance
migue3x 4 years ago
So making a movie soundtrack makes you good?? I saw the other performances and their brand of teenage macho frat boy rap rock sux more than all the boy bands put together. Where are they now???
