  • Btw this youtube video was pointless no matter what you like. It proves n and serves no purpose

  • Every pc i have, i put virus protection on and still fight to keep it virus free, i have had my mac since 2006 with zero virus protection, And it runs just as good as it did when i opened it. I use it for all my web browsing to high risk websites to low. Its not propaganda, just because you dont have one doesnt mean you have to knock it. I have owned PCs long then Macs I dont care what anyone else thinks really, I dont root for Mac over PC, I just use them when I need them. PC is easily bet

  • thumbs up for windows 8 :D

  • Why does it take 45 seconds until the windows loading screen comes up?

was the bios made by apple? lol..

  • Stop comparing Mac with windows 7 !

    because windows 7 is better...

  • nice vid. The music reminds me of a great gentlemen's club in Thailand.

  • i love the music damn it i am on a rolllllllllll

  • @Juangomez9186 I have to agree with mbraase, bullshit. Windows Vista and 7 are the most data intensive OS that Microsoft has made to this date. There's no possible way a Pentium D 920 processor can boot Windows 7 in less than 2 minutes let alone 15 seconds.

  • no, it runs worse, that is why it always lose on those pc vs mac.

  • @5up3rp3rs0n PC always wins in PC vs. Mac. There's no denying it really. Windows can do everything OSX can do more efficiently. It can also do it faster. Not to mention macs are completely overpriced(Excluding hackintoshes, which are the way to go if you must have OSX). Not hating on mac or anything, but Windows 7 is the superior OS.

  • @Cooldog74 Windows is not superior in any way, it's just what people use because they can't afford Mac and won't use time on learning to use a Linux distro.

  • @nawwashere Not true, it's what people use so they can run things without having to mess around with stuff like WINE. Also, plenty of Windows users duel boot with linux. Linux is great and it also has it's pros and cons. That's not what the argument is about though, most people really don't have a reason to use OSX.(A real reason, not just oh look a UI. I must admit it's sexy :D) It's really just a dumbed down more limited version of linux.

  • @Cooldog74 Most Windows users don't even know what Linux is. One advantage Mac has (as opposed to windows) is that it is more stable and therefore more reliable if performing or doing something live.

  • @nawwashere You'd be surprised how many people know of Linux, it's quite a large demographic. Also Windows 7 is just as stable as OSX, if not more. I've seen Macs crap out and crash plenty of times, which if you're doing things right and not installing every fucking toolbar you come across like a 7 year old would, barely happens on Windows 7.

  • @nawwashere That's just fan boy propaganda, just like the notion that Mac are also immune to viruses.

TRUTH: Mac only make up 10% of the worldwide computer users (most in the professional market, who won't be visiting virus infested websites), so viruses programmers feel it's a waste of their time.

  • @nawwashere Also, I'd have a hard time finding a windows user thinking "Oh man! I wish I could afford a mac!". Not everyone wants one like you said.

  • @nawwashere What are you basing this fact on? "They're usually too poor". Sounds to me like someone is a Mac fanboy. You need to realise that there are people that CAN afford Macs but would prefer to get their money's worth. You must be extremely closed-minded to think that people who use Windows cannot afford a Mac. What an absurd statement.

  • @eventfularse My intention was not to say that they were too poor... Although I do see how you could misunderstand it. I just want to get one thing straight though: I'm not an OSX fanboy - I use Linux, and I'd rather sodomize myself with a taser than use Mac.

  • Come to think of it, a Mac running Windows is not a Mac anymore, that's an Intel clone!

  • depends on the system but on average of course it would run better on a mac. macs own up :D

  • SPEED HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OPERATING SYSTEM!!!

  • @BOSNIANboy201 speed has everything to do with an operating system....

  • @keenkennyny It's mostly about the processer

  • It just because of the processor are better in a mac, if PC and a Mac have a same processor the Windows 7 also can work better, not because of the Laptop.

And one again, if the user don't spend many memory in the computer even though it was brand new it make can make the slow down....

    THUMBS UP IF YOU AGREE

  • @malvalenapulukadang3

    wrong!

compatibility is the best friend of mac

crash & error reporting is the best friend of win7 ..

  • I normally have my macbook pro dual booting windows XP which runs smooth as hell but right now I have the windows 8 dev build installed but wil soon switch back to XP because the metro UI of windows 8 sucks

  • @vgking699 If you want to take away Metro just rename c:\Windows\System32\shsxs.dll to anything else log off and back in. To get Metro back just name the .dll to shsxs again. It's a developers preview, not even beta, so hopefully when the beta comes out it will be simpler.

  • I love my macbook pro, its a 2010 model, its got the 2.4ghz core 2 duo cpu, had its ram upgraded from 4GB to 6GB, and a 500GB hard drive and it plays Borderlands great, even can use a ps3 controller through its bluetooth

  • @vgking699 Depending on what graphics card it has it should be in the range of 500-700€ for a normal nongaming laptop. How much did yours cost? And how much of that was the RAM upgrade?

2GB of RAM should be about 20€

  • If Windows 7 start as the same as Mac OS X, = Windows7Win

  • If you think that the boot time is the factor of people buying macs instead of PC's.... There might be something wrong with you... The only reason they started so slow was because they were on such shitty builds. And i PROMISE you those 2 machines had at LEAST a 200$ difference. or even more. (and if your stupid, Mac would be the higher one)

  • @ultramasterman sorry to break this to you, but the boot factor, depends how well the cpu runs

if its a slow crappy computer, expect to be sitting behind the loading screen for quite awhile

and yea you might not buy computers for the booting time, but other people do, you probably dont have interests in computers as much as people such as gamers.

  • I have a 5 year old pc running windows 7 it takes 15 seconds to boot up and runs smooth and great with a intel Pentium D 920 and 1Gb of RAM

  • @Juangomez9186 Bull SHIT.

  • @Juangomez9186 No it doesn't. My PC with better specs took longer..

  • @Juangomez9186 And I'm the King of Siam

  • @Juangomez9186 said "I have a 5 year old pc running windows 7 it takes 15 seconds to boot up and runs smooth and great with a intel Pentium D 920 and 1Gb of RAM"

I call Bullshit. Well not really Bullshit, but COMPLETE UTTER BULLSHIT!!!.I work on computers and I've booted up hundreds of computers running Windows 7 and the only one to even come close to those times (15 seconds) would be an extremely fast PC with fast processor and large amounts of RAM.

Stop trying to lie to us, it aint working.

  • @mbraase It could be true. Boot up speed really depends on how much stuff you have launch on boot.

  • @Juangomez9186 Yeah... no.

  • @Juangomez9186 Why do people keep disagreeing with this guy? Listen, yes machines of higher spec will, of course, boot quicker, but 15seconds is rather plausible here, is certain Win7 luxuries are off (mainly, Aero effects and such), and if the machine's HDD is of good quality/well maintained, then I don't see why this is so unbelievable...

  • @Juangomez9186 90 seconds boot time with windows 7 and 45 seconds boot time with ubuntu 11.10

  • Now play BF3 on mac ^^

  • i dont believe thats not a fake but it really runs faster in mac, i've got an Intel i3 with 4g ddr3 ram and a mac core 2 duo with 2gb and it really runs faster in mac

  • DONT EVEN BOTHER -- THIS VIDEO IS FAKE. THE WINDOWS COMPUTER CLEARLY WAS NOT TURNED ON UNTIL 0:24. That blue fade to white screen is the computer POSTing. FAKE ASS BULLSHIT BY A MAC-LOVING TWAT. WHAT'S WRONG JMDYLAN? AFRAID TO MAKE A FAIR FIGHT AND SEE OSX GET ITS ASS HANDED TO IT?

  • One of the worst things about Windows, you need to wait about two minutes before everything is loaded; with Mac, wait 20 seconds or so, your desktop is on and you're off.

  • at 00:55 Os/X is ready, full operative, all loaded and responsive, you're driving a Ferrari.

at 01:30 win7 as yet no less than 2-3m to be ready, and then what you have? a crappy supercharged mustang if you're very lucky

  • com kakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • That was a bit ridiculous man o.O

Windows 7 never takes that long before showing it's main boot screen, that's ridiculous... what was the Mac doing in that time?

  • This video has nothing to do with the title

  • its all in the system settingsreally.. with my ssd hard drive I could boot My win within seconds... but I want it to load EVERYTHING bevor im sitting down infront of it so it takes its 2 minutes.. absolutly normal for a machine.. i dont know what people expect.

  • @filixorio....who the fuck cares what you got to say...the point is something completly else...

  • THE MUSIC IS: PAGODA ZEN by Stefano Bonacina (thanks Shazam for Android)

  • ...may be OSx is faster, but I`m still on Windows 7 x64 Proffesional...and I can play COD MW2, Batllefield and many more online...hope you can do it on OSx TOO....why don`t you all run whatever you want and leave us others to do the same....

  • @Coccobill11222 There are actually mac versions of those games. Sorry if your ignorance led you nowhere.

  • ..so, what does this means...???..booting is a new kind of race or what.???..never saw more shit then this...what is the point...what a fuck do I care about 10 secs...if this is a valid test...I can show you completly oposite situation....use your comp for racing...cool MAN....you got a bigger one.....HA..

  • disable disk checking on pc and it will overtake a mac

  • in windows you can change startup speed in the bios, unless you have it set to maximum speed with no waiting periods you don't get the fastest startup speed available. Also mac OS starts faster because it is SMALLER it does not have to read as much nor as big files that windows has to do upon startup.

  • Please dude, What is the name of the song? It is very nice

    thanks :)

  • go buy a PC with right click

  • i got a netbook with only 2GB ram and 2.0 dual core and it starts in like 20 secs: windows 7 ultimate

  • my Ubuntu much more faster then mac or windows :P

  • FAKE TEST... windows 7 IS FASTER than Mac OS X

  • running windows on a mac is just an emulation ... so much slower ... idiots.

  • @eurocosta emulation ??? LOOOOOOOOL seriously

  • buy a real computer loser....

a mac is a piece of shit

  • My windows boot time is 0 seconds with a SATA 6GB/s SSD and ASRock's instantboot. Beat that macfaggots.

  • @MINICLIPGAMER THAT'S RIGHT !! PC ALL THE WAY! :D

  • This is rigged... Windows 7 boots in 8.3 seconds on my PC.

  • I have a 1.6GHz Processor and my computer boots faster then that. But dude Windows 7 isnt native on a Mac Computer so it takes longer

  • install windows on an ssd an u boot up in like 8 sec

  • @johannn94 sorry guy....

a mac user don`t know what a ssd is...

  • @Zagg7 tell that to the MacBook Air and its SSD

  • i hve core i5 with tb of hd and 4ghz processor and ram 4 gb it works more faster it tooks only 10 to 9 secs

  • music is anoyinggggg

  • seriously??!! u lie to everyone with this video? how are u even comparing when clearly both startup is different!! if u really want to compare, wait for both boot screen appear at the same time. and the title, win 7 runs better on mac? and the description says mac or pc?? how the hell does both is the same? get your fact right.

  • yes my boot time is very fast (27 seconds).

  • Sure it's better, but how much did you pay for that mac? ;)

  • @bleachzeldakid If you have money who give a fk. work hard get paid and get real. I have two MAC PROS one desktop and one laptop. 4 ipods two iphones and soon an ipad. I used to be hardcore PC but only because I couldn't afford MAC hahaha. and @MrHappyChang only because big corporate businesses are fk'n cheap. Why do i say this? because I work for one telling I have brand new computers when they're 7 years old and 1/2 gb of ram. LOL. quit crying.

  • @dennisplus1 Well if you're in the U.S. I'd say thank you for supplementing the economy with all of that spending :D

  • thats not even a real windows 7 my laptop starts up better then a mac and macbook and weak up from sleep mode faster and shuts down faster it a dell windows 7 with inspiron

  • linux beats both. 15 sec boot. 6 sec shutdown!

  • The answer is no, a windows 7 does not work better on a mac. That's got to be the slowest windows 7 I've seen in the last 5 minutes. My windows 7 has got to be the quickest on youtube I've seen so far.

  • It should be 30 second startup and 10 second shutdown for windows.

  • my windows 7 boots with 10 sec of bios and 10 sec of windowsload... ssd <3

  • your windows 7 is too slow.My windows 7 boots up in 30-40 sec.My windows 7 is just with a 5400 rpm HDD

  • a mac starts in 20 seconds or someting like that or even faster

  • @frutzi22 If a mac didn't have that solid state drive, it would be different

  • @Kingddd333 but it has the 'solid' state drive so it wins

  • @frutzi22 Well yes, with the lighter OS and ssd, it obviously will win in startup.

  • I have Ubuntu 11.04 boots in 20 sec... Shutsdown in 6sec... I love Ubuntu!

  • its just a way to make mac users feel a little better. $1200 dollars and all u get is a pretty laptop and i would feel like shit and make vids like this :/

  • wtf is is shit?

  • my notebook (windows 7 equipped) boots up in less than 10 seconds -.-

  • @Calcifer97 That's odd... my not-so-old computer, and relatively new laptop take more than 10 seconds to WAKE UP from sleep. I call lies. Even with an SSD, that's bull.

  • @PoliticalHell free to not belive it =p

  • But it lies not in a bad Pc windows takes so long to boot!

  • on an optimized lappy from 4 years ago mine booted in 14 seconds or so..

need i get started about how fast it starts up on my 2011 power rig fitted with ssd?

not a fanboy. i have both mac and pcs. both serve different purpose in my daily use. both are good in its own respects

  • I have a Mac but I like very much windows too.

    Both are awesome OS.

    Hugs

  • Your Mac needs to load bootcamp thats why it takes longer

  • I see your reflection!

  • it is conspiracy!

  • this damaged your windows 7 .l..

  • they are both macs.. its not 1 mac and 1 pc

  • I have a mac mini with both OS's on it. The win 7 side smokes the mac side. There is something wrong with your Win 7 install.

Oh and my PC laptop boots win 7 in exactly 16 seconds. And that is from pressing the button on a cold boot.

  • My PC boots faster than you can say cake.

I won it like a year ago, It cost´s about 25.000 $. I think i´m going to sell it soon. I´m not rich so i need money :o

  • @kokomanen Thats why you have a Windows.

  • My win7 boots in 7sec XD

btw music name plz i felt like i'm in Japan.

  • @StrawberrySphere me too :D

  • My PC can boot Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in 30 seconds. It has a P4 HyperThreaded at 2.8GHz and 2GB DDR RAM. Something is wrong if your laptop is running it so badly

  • Comment removed

  • My Windows 7 Boots up in just 15 seconds!!!!! My system specs are :-

    Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

4 GB ddr2 dual channel ram

    500 GB HDD

    Intel core 2 duo t6400 2.00Ghz

  • @ghajcena

Finally someone who doesn't watch porn!

  • @ghajcena fake my pc is a pentium d 3.40 ghz 3gb of ram 1500 gigs of storage and i got 7 ultimate 32 bit and it takes forever to boot up

  • @gangstah849 Pentium D is shit. His core 2 duo, although clocked lower, actually processes more per second vs your Pentium D because it uses a newer architecture

  • @GangstaHotdog i googled it and you were rigth (sorry for bad english)

  • @ghajcena I'm sorry, i just cant believe that inless youve got an SSD

  • @ghajcena Haha you wish troll

  • @ghajcena Definitely a troll. My boot is 43 seconds and my specs are 4Ghz Core i7, 12GB DDR3 @ 1600Mhz and a 7200RPM Caviar Black.

  • @ghajcena Thats is just your BIOS, you are actually not getting into Windows, cause it crashed.

  • @ghajcena 2.00ghz lol thats so old ...

  • @ghajcena

Bullshit it does. From a cold boot it takes more than 15 seconds to load Windows 7 Ultimate.

My PC blows yours out of the water.

My system specs are 8gb DDR3 dual channel ram

    Intel i7 2.80 ghz

    Nvida 540gt 2 GB Vram

and it still takes about a minute or so to load Windows from a cold boot.

  • THIS VIDEO IS FAKE. THE WINDOWS COMPUTER CLEARLY WAS NOT TURNED ON UNTIL 0:24. That blue fade to white screen is the computer POSTing. FAKE VIDEO BY A MAC-LOVING TWAT. WHAT'S WRONG JMDYLAN? AFRAID TO MAKE A FAIR FIGHT AND SEE OSX GET ITS ASS HANDED TO IT? ** vote this up so people can see right away that the video is fake **

  • @ctsincebay I really dont think its fake becuse as a user of a brand new win 7 computer and comparing it to a year old mac the mac was significantly faster.

  • @Eddyjj24baller If your computer is brand new, I assume it has a shit ton of OEM software and trialware installed. One thing I will say is that Apple doesn't include as much market-driven globware. Do a fresh install of Windows 7, reboot it a couple of times, and try again. Also keep in mind that Windows optimizes itself as time goes by.

  • @ghajcena Yeah so? Whats your point?

  • On brazil you can skip ads :D

  • i dont know but on my pc win 7 boot's in 25 seconds.......

Cpu:AMD Phenom II x4 (my first CPU that used windows was AMD AthlonIIx2 30 se/b

    Ram:4GB

GPU:Gforce GTX 590 (on my AMD athlon IIx2 pc i hag 8500gt gpu)

    HDD:500GB

  • Its funny everyone post negative comments, Mac OSX is Polished BSD (Linux based OS Open Source) Windows is closed sourced so it will take lots of time to boot up. So people both operating systems are good use one for gaming and one for the power user.

  • My Mac Snow Leopard doesnt take that long to load... This is so not worth the watch

  • I used to be a hardcore PC guy.. "oh yeah, screw macs" then I got tired of having a laggy experience (with a good computer) I decided to try a mac despite my feelings towards them. You're now looking at a comment from a macintosh/windows user.

  • @CJHPercussion Yea, Mac is good. But Windows comes in handy sometimes. I prefer Linux period end of story.. But, I'm still a PC guy..

  • bootcamp!!!

  • you must have too much time on your hands...

  • This test is messed up. When you boot ANY intel based Mac, it should almost instantly boot to a grey screen.

If booting to OS X, the Apple logo will appear.

If booting to another OS, it will remain grey, and then turn black or whatever afterwards.

Regardless, the EFI (BIOS) in a Mac brings it to that grey screen instantly, regardless of OS choice.

  • don't you just love all the people that suck apples dick? no wonder so many people that use macs are gay :)

  • @owneddt

I guess paying 400$ for an operating system that comes with so many flaws right out of the box and uncompleted even after a thousand of update is better. (talking about windows

Even better, microsoft is trying to sell you an antivirus to cover up their own flaws!

The only thing window is good at is games. buddy, not everyone is a 5 years old who still go to kindergarden and got nothing else to do than playing games. Grow up seriously, did you even try linux/mac? talking out of your ass

  • @lahmamamia Lol seriously? For games? Lol why dont you ask millions of buissness that use Pcs? Face it, Mac is for overpriced aesthetics and PC Is RAW POWER for the buck!

  • @MrHappyChang

Buddy, thats the only argument you got, Overpriced. I agree its overpriced but the fact is that it does everything that windows does (except for games) without all the hasle. And in case you didn't know, a Mac can last easily 5 years without any problems (I had macs when i was in elementry school and after 12 years they are still working perfectly) and on top of that, with the antivirus subscriptions and everything else that windows requires it surpases the price of a mac easily.

  • @lahmamamia Thats not necicarily true. If Pc were less popular than macintosh products It would be the other way around. Macs would have more viruses than pc's. With that said. I could easily create a virus for the latest OSX if I wanted to. Ohh and my mom's compaq presario 5000 lasted her more than 10 years. and a compaq Armada that lasted her 12 years. My dell inspiron 531 lasted me about 4 years and is still running strong. (pc's tend to last longer if you dont download stupid things.)

  • @lahmamamia lol I haven't payed a dime over price of hardware for my pc. Had it for 4 years without any anti-virus software without any problems. I don't see what else (other than games) your paying for. Freeware office suites and other quality programs are so abundant it's ridiculous. I'm typing this on a Macbook Pro 15 and can tell you I could have saved $600 and got a Dell or Asus Laptop with a better processor, vcard, faster or duel RAID HD's, more RAM and blu-ray, but I fell for the hype.

  • @MrHappyChang Raw power rendered useless by the eye candy and bloatware in windows which is why macs are still faster even with lower specs ;)

  • @lahmamamia dude, I've used both OS's, my W7 PC has never had a system crash. It works fine, you're just a butthurt fanboy who can't stand the fact that you were stupid enough to spend thousands on a mac, that has the hardware specifications of that of a $400 PC. Now I don't hate Macs, they are very good for video and photo editing, but don't go talking out of your ass about an OS when you know nothing about it.

  • @eleal1893

buddy I have experience with Linux Ubuntu/mint/Fedora, Mac OS X (since Mac OS 8) and microsoft windows 95 to windows 7, so no, I'm not a fanboy, I probably know a lot more about computers than you do, so no im not talking out of my ass, now go on and bitch about how your computer has 8 gig of ram for 300$

  • @lahmamamia Yes and that is nice, but just don't go bashing on other systems. Just mad because I got the better deal? Come on grow up. Windows has some good things, just like Mac, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc. Each system is good for different needs. So you and all other fanboys, either for PC or Mac or hell, PS3 or 360 lol, need to grow up and just use the system they like! That is all.

  • my pc boots instantly

  • my pc boots in 15 seconds

  • my PC boots in 49 sec

  • Your mac is hella slow !!!!!!

  • why the asian music?

  • @m33taphor why not the asian music?

  • Something goes wrong I think, Windows does not start directly with booting, it take 10 secconds before it does something. You also didn't see a BIOS screen or thinks like that :-\

  • @timvisee Exactly, Apple created it to slow Windows booting down.

  • ANOTHER BIG LIE.... My Windows 7 time's boots is 30 seconds... check your PC...

  • @meddolus psh custom pc's = like 26seconds PC ftw.

  • @meddolus You must be running on hardware from the future, or have nothing installed. Are you sure you count the 3-minute "post-startup lag" into the equation? You know, when it "finishes" booting up, but you still have to wait before opening any programs because it's not ready yet?

  • @meddolus

    cool story bro.

  • @meddolus yeah, this is a hardware issue, you an't compare two different sets of hardwares' boot times.

  • @meddolus Dude, you're a fucking idiot, if you can see the head line ends whit "?"

  • Comment removed

  • the people don't understad that a 1,5ghz mac is equivalent to a 2.4ghz pc

  • @djcrawleravp Are you being retarded intentionally? Or just trolling?

  • @Metal404Head Macs have hardware and software integration and that's a huge advantage, besides the system is way much lighter than windows 7.. that's my point.. you don't need a 3.06ghz processor on a mac to do things that in windows you will require more cpu

  • @djcrawleravp Hahaha... oh wow... you are retarded...

  • @Metal404Head check the video again... it's the same machine, but windows ALWAYS will require more hardware to run

... i think the retarded is someone else
