Just watching this scene and not the show seems to make people think it just funny or stupid. Actually watching the show you realize why he is crazy and why he needs to dance. As said he was bonded with the goddess Kali, in the form of a small spider, and allowed him to the spirit world version of her that women in blue. But Kali is also in the form of a giant spider creature that can shift tectonic plates and cause massive tidal waves and all sorts of destruction.

Cont... So this guy forces the small spider out of Will which makes him crazy and Kali feeling betrayed and in her giant form seriously pissed off! So with everything about to go to shit Will remembers the dancing summon. This without a doubt is one of if not Will's best scene on the show. You can tell he really went all out on his acting and learning the dance moves which I think was awesome!

Ah, the pure joy on Will's face! And the energy of the dance scene. I laughed every time I watched this. My kids are mimicking the moves. I hoped the Sanctuary crew got as much joy out of making this as I did watching it. I'd buy the music if it was available.

remember seeing this when it aired in uk and i laughed so much to start with but then realised he must have put so much time and efort into that dance routine and he did it so well as they must have had to do at least two seperate takes of it one where hes dancing alone and one when hes with the group which must have been hard,i applaud the whole sanctuary team as i think they do a great job and as for amandas accent at first it was a bit mary poppins mockney but as it went on you dont notice

1 - I do like Amanda Tapping - in Stargate SG-1. In this show, she does a terrible English accent. I have heard it in the TV promos.

@NicktheMovieGuy Even so, I like Tapping and as a Brit I can concur she does an awful British accent and many of her words are clearly Americanised, many times she pronounces words we just wouldn't pronounce in that way and I cringe every time because it bursts the illusion. She really does still need a speech coach IMHO.

@kattierowe He may have laughed more if he had not been so busy working his ass off to learn & execute this dance. By all reports he went into a kind of trance to complete it. They could not communicate with him normally until the director said he was through with the dance.

@shak15ti -- Yeah, it was less amusing and more "Well, holy crap, that's IMPRESSIVE!!!" after I saw the behind the scenes stuff and started seeing and reading interviews discussing everything he put into that scene (and a lot of his others as well since, by all accounts, he just throws himself into the role). My respect for him as an actor who'll do just about anything to get it right just keeps increasing and increasing *pets him*
