@fadedexile The inspiration for the song actually came from an A&E special about this very thing, women who date death row inmates. I wrote them a song because, well, I figured they needed something. :)
@deadlightsgirl I made friends with some of these women on a message board and I can honestly say that they have no interest in a decent, functioning, employed and not bad looking guy. I have experience with this pen pal thing and anyone who thinks they are "special" in any way because they get a letter is kidding themselves. Everyone of these people who are locked up are users writing to MANY people and will tell all of them whatever it takes to get them to send money.
Never let it be said I didn't respond to sexy passive-aggression... you KNOW I think you're brilliant. We will have to shoot something over the winter, you know.

the sad thing is how much truth there is in this. there are a lot of women who would rather write to these guys than date a good guy who is out here.
