  • claro, tem tb a mestra de todas,a billie mas, fico com a pupila,a janis.

vai ser uma semana curta...são muitas deusas no meu olimpo.

  • she makes me want to bite myself in pleasure like only my cat can

  • @davidemanea

    ...do :)

  • Luv this

  • This song brings back my early childhood when my Mom and Dad would sing it to me back in the forties. We used to do what's called "harmonizing"; we sang together and they taught me the lyrics. It was a special, haunting song then and still is for me today. I feel that my parents are still at my side when I hear it, though they are both now deceased. Wistful, sad and gut-wrenching music. The Gershwins had "soul" to have composed this song. Billie Holiday captured its true essence!

  • Such a beautiful talented women, what a tragedy to die at such a young age. "If there's a rock and roll heaven, you know they got one hell of a band"

  • my first real relationship was because of Billie Holiday. Met her in the library at a local college. she said she needed help finding help on Billie Holiday for her report.

  • listening to this makes me remember old classic cartoons!

  • @TheIkawatay

Lol you are so right. hey always used old classical music in cartoons. Ahhh the good times. Childhood, where things were so easy.

  • Tragic beauty. As original as they come.

  • Elle reste la plus grande,très loin de ce que l'on entend aujourd’hui !!!!

    Jean from France

  • A voz!

  • Damn what a voice! Love that clarinet, too. It all just gives me goosebumps :)

  • It is a bittersweet song. Made especially so by a woman who got more than she could ever have expected. It was the life she fought to have and it ultimately killed her. That's were the soul comes from. Then again I'm just a white girl from Louisiana. What do I know? And, yes, I do understand the sarcasm of the song. It's hard down here, as I'm sure you all think it's hard everywhere.

  • i think that no one has understood the sarcasm of this song...

  • nice upload..thankyou

  • Cheerful, but strangely full of grief.

  • Nadie ha cantado esta canción como ella ni nadie lo hará.

  • I sing this, still, to my son, 11, every night-

  • Great voice.....

  • Tremendous talent. One of the all time greats. She had it!

  • wow, i love her

  • This is the best version of this song.

  • @Madsen1447 I agree!

  • @Madsen1447

As much as Billie's my favourite, I gotta go Ella Fitzgerald on this one. Her version with Satchmo is legend.

  • @boyscoutonacid I love Ella too. Both woman will always be legends. I just love Billie's version more :) The horns just do something to my soul. And the way she hits certain notes just give me quivers. But I can appreciate both versions :)

  • @Madsen1447

Don't get me wrong, I love both versions, but Ella's more eery. And Satchmo's horn is just dirty as hell. I love it!

  • Outstanding Music!

  • keep on singing my sista.... were all looking for that summertime.

  • @APRILRENAY1 What? She's dead.

  • @SoulMuzikify duh.. i know that but it's a figure of speech ..txn

  • @APRILRENAY1 LOL. I've never heard someone say that to a dead person that's why I was suprised. I'm like...I think u're a few decades late. LMBO. Have a blessed day.

  • @SoulMuzikify LOL..It's alright, and you have a blessed day to.

  • I love Billie Holiday, she is seriously one of my heroes
