Thanks for the truth shown here. Anyway, we all have our taste trained since our earlier days to have all the forbidden foods and, to be honest, I can't live out of meat, leaves and a little bit of "good quality" carbs. It is much worse than being diabetic, because we're not supposed to eat ANY of the unhealthy and pleasant foods! I hope some people are strong enough to resist, because if I depend on it to be healthy, I will die sick or even kill myself. It is worse than a drug addiction!
Four years ago I had an allergy test that told me I was allergic to eggs, soy, bananas, pineapple, dairy, wheat and I knew caffeine was bad for my bladder so rarely drank that. I was very strict with my diet and not able to having eggs kept me off sugar and sweets. It got easy to say no to desserts and be satisfied with fresh fruit. I have lost a lot of weight and it has kept me thin. I feel the best I have felt with a bad case of FIBROMYALGIA that sent me to a pain clinic years back.
My biggest problem is that I have NO IDEA WHAT TO EAT if I take away all the things he suggests removing. I'm not exaggerating in any way . . . I mean . . . WHAT do people avoiding all those things EAT? What's left? No wheat, no milk, no sugar, no caffiene, no gluten . . . I am totally open to anyone that has an answer to this question.
thank u so much... u confirmed my own thoughts bout it being a label... im not gonna have pills shoved down my throat just to be poisoned further.. my problem is ive cut out 90% of all those things.. except tea lol...keep posting... ur take is so refreshing from all the other bull posted out there....
You know what sucks? Being poor and having fibro. Cheap foods usually have everything in them you're supposed to avoid. I can't afford to buy gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-and-artificial-sweetener-free, soy-free stuff all the time. Seriously, I can't afford to eat meat and fresh greens every day.
@eaglecrash I suggest NOT buying gluten-free replacements for all your previous gluten foods. They ARE more expensive. Try just NOT buying GF bread, GF cookies, GF prepared foods. IF you can, go for cooking and prepearing your own food as much as you can--meats, vegetables, low glycemic fruits. Brown rice and quinoa are fairly inexpensive, as are dry beans.
Have you ever heard of someone having tender points on the back of the scalp? I got them all over the place. Legs, calves, hips, stomach etc. Luckily i'm not in severe pain, but i do get heavy legs from time to time. I'm taking 5000 iu of vitamin d and it seems to help with strength and energy. So could you tell me what to do about these tender points and what's your take on vitamin d?
@ratiug75 Despite what you may have heard, red meat in moderation is not bad. Protein from meat helps regulate your blood sugar and provides the building blocks for neurotransmitters.
How do you get the itching to stop? and the pain in my legs from the nerve damage is hard to manage, I notice the pain throughout my body is concentrated on my right side. The meds my doctor has me on doesn't seem to be working well, if anything they make me feel sick. Are there any natural herbs or supplements that can help me deal with my suffering besides diet? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
Why does Fibro Patients have such chronic itching? Is it because of the excess calcium and phosphates in their cells?? My husband has fibromyalgia and has this and Chronic fatigue as worse symptoms and I was wondering if there was in other hormonal imbalance that he may have instead that could be the cause other than fibro that I may be missing. Thanks! Donna
@donnadohogne Neurologically-speaking, itching can be caused by the brain being unable to "tune out" the nerves that transmit the sensation of itching. Usually a region called the PMRF in the brainstem does this.
Also, metabolically-speaking, there are a TON of factors that can contribute.
I have not been diagnosed but my mother has been. I've been showing a lot of the same symptoms. I'm trying to learn as much as I can for both me and her. Thank you for your help :)
Nope. The SWEET flavor will make you crave more sugar, making it harder for you in the long run. Chemically, I'm not a fan of these artificial sweeteners...And, why do you need to use Splenda anyway?
What in the world are we supposed to eat then?

Sugar is big for me. I eat a lot of fruit, especially in the morning. Do you have breakfast suggestions that eliminate sugar? Thanks

Hi, what is left to eat? What can you suggest?
MattAndJan2010 1 year ago
@MattAndJan2010 meats, vegetables, and small amounts of fruit, or honey. it only works when you do it 100%. depends how bad you want to enjoy life.
wordey123 1 year ago
@wordey123 Can you be more specific as far as fruits are concerned? You said small amounts of fruits, but what type would you suggest?
SheBQueen4eva 1 year ago
@SheBQueen4eva I suggest stone fruits (peaches, apricots for example) eaten WITH a protein source. NO fruit juices.
clarkchiro 1 year ago
@clarkchiro Thanks for the advice....I'll do just that! :>)
