I'm a mage and I remember my first battle against a doomguard in a pvp against a warlock. He summoned it and I know it sounds cheesy but I felt like Gandalf against Balrog. I kicked his butt ; )

I haven't read all the comments but I see many recent ones of people making weird suggestions as to what's going on... During BC, the minion was not as it is now. It took 5 people to summon it, and killed one of them instantly upon the summoning. It was then an utter harbinger of doom killing everthing (including the warlock who summoned it if he wasn't careful). I really miss those days, I once helped summon one in SW (and yeah i was the life that was sacrificed to do so haha).

@elimiNATEu4sure No one knows for sure. Perhaps it was a GM event? Or maybe it pathed over there from wherever Doomguards spawn at? Maybe someone trained it through several zones? Who knows? (Seriously though, it was a warlock doomguard summoned by Tekal)

@MagicSquid That is a Warlock's Doomguard. Back in the day, when a Warlock used to summon doomguard, it didnt come under the control of the warlock, the warlock had to use Enslave Demon to gain control. if he didnt use it... well you saw what happened in the video.

thats mainly cause of how much he got nerfed through out the history of WoW, used to be a hour CD with and OBNOXIOUS health pool. They brought him down to earth and now is only a 30 min CD and isnt nearly as hard to kill as u see in this video. Yes there all low lvls but they still have nerfed him significanty.... -sad face-

Well guys, unfortunately:

1. Ritual of Doom - The Doomguard is enslaved for 15 minutes and will not break to kill people.

2. Curse of Doom - Will bring out a Doomguard only if the target yeilds experience or Honor.

3. If you release the Doomguard from Ritual of Doom the Doomguard disappears.

4. If you enslave a Doomguard from anywhere (I don't think you can) or enslave any other demon, then release it in a city or town, the enslaved demon will go back to where you enslaved it at.
