The regular forces have been tasked with assisting local police and Guard forces since 2004. What happens if an event is too large for local Police and the local National Guard Brigade is deployed? We have to be ready to step in. There is no reason to believe that the US Government is planning to invade our own country and declare martial law. This is a video of a Marine Expeditionary Unit locally training for their Special Operations Capability certification before they deploy. Each MEU before their deployment goes through such certification and the military picks one civilian city where with the permission of local jurisdiction they perform their urban combat scenarios.

I was part of such exercise in Dayton, OH where we repelled down from CH-46s onto roof tops of building smack in the middle of downtown. The whole town was watching as the area was cordoned off for our operations. By the way retards, this particular video is of 26th MUE of which I was part of 2001-2003. This particular exercise was in Indianapolis, June of 2008. Before the exercise started nature threw a hissy fit and flooded a lot of the area.
