  • Guys Shut Up. She is Smarter then All of you and me. And Its Human to make Mistakes so Dont Hate.

  • She lost focus and control of her emotions. She also should not have wiped her gloves before wiping her visor. I can't believe she made it past the screening.

  • @bigjohn377 I'd like to see you out there, sir.

  • @bigjohn377 You'd probably piss your pants just as the air depressurizes when they depressurize the hatch.

  • @Stoozor Keep playing with your dog humping keychain you fucking loser.

  • damn that sucks. the bag was worth $100,000 AND she 'retired' after this. uuuumph. i know watching that bag musta hurt in the soul lol.

  • Interesting how such a small mistake can cost so much in space! That shot at 1:47 is awesome too. Little bag floats off and everyone is totally helpless to do anything! This isn't a gender issue at all, it shows how un-built we are for space!

  • Isn't that stuff supposed to be on a leash?

  • @VCat2006 Yeah it was supposed to be tethered, but they claimed she should have anticipated the possibility that it wasn't, as I recall.

  • Bungee after it with a net.

  • Heidi is cool, she looses toolboxes and doesn't afraid of anything.

  • Heidi is cool, I´ll always love her

  • Well that explains the hole in my roof

  • well lucky that box did not ram a station :}

  • Why would NASA send a woman into space? Thank you NASA for costing us billions of dollars.

  • stupid bitch. she was probably fixing her lipstick when she should have been keeping an eye on the bag... stupid tramp

  • it was either lose the tool bag or lose the makeup bag and she used good chick-logic and saved the makeup bag.

  • I didn't know they let blonds in space

  • LOL so theres a bag of tools orbiting the earth right now..thats rich

  • A note in her NASA biography:

Captain Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper retired from NASA in July 2009 to return to the U.S. Navy at the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington D.C.

  • Funny how it's not even 2 meters away but they can't do shit about it :P

I'd be lika: "Hiyaaaa!" and jump for it. As long as i'm tethered down i'll be a'rite' :D

  • Cant people stop slagging off females, there are a hell of a lot of them out there who could kick your ass into next week.

  • @Conellwuffie shutup asshole

  • uh Houston we've got a problem. :D

  • i would give anything to be in mission control and hear what they were screaming in the room

  • fail

  • women are bad drivers, i thought nasa would be clever enough to know this basic fact of life before they send one into SSSPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCE!!!!

  • they dont make bad drivers, besides even if they did your still a bit thick not to notice the difference between driving a car and a fucking space shuttle.

  • daft lad dont diss me ...ok

  • To late i already did, what ar you going to do? internet punch me? or use capslock? :O

I have a PhD in Satellite Atmospheric Science for christ sake im not daft.

  • hahahaha, who gives a toss in that shit..well i dont have a PhD in Satellite Atmospheric Science bollox...

but i have a Pretty Huge Dick (PhD) in pants mutherfucker!!!...i can pull down my pants and handle my lumps mutherfucker!!!....i got ball of steel biaaaatch

  • I see millimeter peter strikes again.

Kinda funny how you got all offensive (pun intended) with your last comment when you realized you were losing your comment battle.

  • It had to be a woman!

  • it was.

  • So now that's just more projectile spacejunk threatening the ISS and other satellites.

  • That's why women should stay in kitchen

    hahaha

    just kidding

  • You can be certain she was probably chatting on a cell phone with her girlfriend about some new tampons she was using instead of paying attention to the job.

  • so much for the bonus!! :-)

Millions of dollars of tax-payers money gone down the drain!shit happens.

  • ... I do not understand it! The first thing that a woman do when she is in danger is to take her make-up bag. And here?!?!? She found no make-up and threw the bag away. Just woman!

  • First of all, if it's only a mans job, why is she lead EVA.

Second, she didn't do it on purpose, it was a mistake. Not a big screw up, no lives were lost.

It only proves one thing. She is human.

By the way, nice language. You kiss your Mother with that mouth??

  • But she's still smarter than you

  • Oh, snap! No you didn't!

I assume Sr. Oranges never dropped anything in his life.

  • @ipide She may crash the psace station, dont let her drive!, LOL

  • @ipide How do you know?

  • fuckwit

  • women.

  • No one can really say anything about what happened considering that only a handfull of people have been to space and have worked in space. Movement is slowed and everything is much more difficult.

  • Awesome. Now we know which country is liable when a manned space flight collides with that bag of tools at several thousands of miles per hour and all hands are lost as a result...US. They should've turned off the camera.

  • hahaha!!!! 0:55 OMG lol

    stoopid astronaut

  • if it was a handbag with a lipstick in it she wouldnt have let it go! That´s one of the reason why the Titanic sank!

  • hahaha lol :-)

  • She mustnot go out ... never again!

  • if it was a handbag with a lipstick in it she wouldnt have let it go....but a couple of greaseguns ahhh what the heck.....

  • We need to arm astronauts with harpoon guns in the future.

  • contatct to the aliens to go look for some tool box in our solar sistem and drop back onto the plannet by parachute on the most next ufo appearance...

  • Psh... like you've never dropped a bag of tools out in space?

  • lol, wow. this is why cdh students prefer Joe Maurer for their favorite alumni. never was a big fan of heidi something-piper

  • Haha i wonder where that tool bag is right now. She will never be on another flight in space again for that.

  • wow talk about idiots who think men are supposed to do everything in order for something to be right.. i mean she made a mistake but that could have been anyone.. don't give me that, "omg it had to be a woman" BS!!

  • Do we know who packed the outer bag? Was the tool bag supposed to be tethered to the larger bag when it was packed? Were the grease guns packed correctly? Did the grease cause the tool bag to untether? Yeah she didn't deal with it well, but that's all I see.

  • "SHE LOST THE TOOL",sad, Be optimistic....hope for the good to heppen like "praying for that tool bag to fall and break some terrorist's head" XD

  • trust it to be a woman eh!

  • Price?

  • about $100,000

  • Nice job idiot! You could have just caused millions if not billions of dollars in damage because you got some grease on your glove. Nice Job! Never send a woman to do a mans job!

  • they shud send clever women on space.. she looks stupid.. talks stupid.. plus she is a blonde.. disaster

  • Women and space...talk about a disaster waiting to happen.

  • It is not a bag.

  • Ah come on girls we've all done it... suddenly you realize some guys are watching you, rummageing in your bag you get flustered, then your lipsstick comes undone, you try to wipe it off it gets everywhere, and just when you thought it couldn't get any worse... someone turns the gravity off!

  • Never send a broad to do a MAN'S JOB!

  • omg

  • I knew it was a broad before I even read the story.

  • jjajajajaja

  • Whoopty doo if the u.s. only spends less than 1% of the Whatever ``budget`` your speaking of...no money should be wasted on space exploration...money goes up in space is nonsense...It takes less than 1% of that "budget" to bring a small dire country out of starvation BTW.

  • LET EM STARVE!!!! then tell them to quit making babies they cant feed!! ever hear of OVER-PUPULATION???

  • Yet another reason why women should stay in the kitchen

  • LOL! that's just cruel...

  • week after week after week after week at the bottom of a swimming pool learning how not to do that.

  • Had to be a woman...didn't she lose a camera in space also??

  • d'oh!!!

  • we should be happy that NASA packed extra tools... and the whole repair was able to continue during the planned time frame. Otherwise I think it would have caused far worse consequences on the mission.

  • Girls just keep losing stuff, even in space

  • lets not waste anymore money and get those people outta space! We got a global recession going on here...All our money is goin up in space!

  • Less than 1% of the US Government's budget goes to NASA. Stfu.

  • @DeadlyMACD Can I steal one percent of your income? Why or why not?

  • Heidi has greasy fingers...

  • The EVA is complicated:-D It may look funny, but I don't think anyone of us would do better than this person. I'm not religious, but...God bless the astronauts:-)

  • I think with the intelligence to be an astronaut, you would think she is smarter than to just throw the tool bag to the side with no gravity. HELLO! your in SPACE!

  • Reminds of the day my wife drove away with her handbag on roof of car with my wages inside.

One small step for Man - one giant leap for a Female :)

  • Hehehehehehahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhh:-D

  • Lol, the amount of idiotic comments here is good proof to why more people should use contraceptives :D

  • That'll teach NASA to bow down to the pink mafia pc brigade, just like driving there are some things that are just too difficult and technical for women to do...

  • Go get it!!!

  • Women are women. She cleaned very well :)

  • stupid dumb bitch....made practically NO effort to quickly grab it...or save it from floating away.

  • ahahah so funny..

  • It's ok, we forgive you for being blind.

  • "& she came in wearing EXACTLY the same dress as MEEE" shes got it coming seein as she had the NERVE to borrow my lippstick you know the one took me ages to find BTW hows bert n betty did they well DID THEY - SHUT-UP get out of here I said they would didnt I I said they would I just KNEW IT OOOOOH I'm never wrong about these things am I Trace mind you she dont wanna be too fussy what with her facial hair situation I mean you know me I'm all give everyone says so but - OH CRAP-I'll ring you back

  • you just KNOW that if that was her Gucci bag she would have ripped that safety harness off with her bare teeth & space-swam NAKED right after that mix n match fashion accessory swearing like a M---F__-_--ing trooper !!!! AND then try & foist the blame on some poor bloke - - - - - -or complain it was "TOO HEAVY" get it ? too heavy !! space? Two incompatible words - - -women & logic !! Like the song says - - -"ITS A MANS WORLD" OH I cant wait to meet the lads down the pub tonight.HA HA HA

  • Where's Bruce Willis when you need him?!

  • i read in a news article she goes "oh great"

but i didn't hear it, does anyone else hear it?

  • Yeah they cut the "oh great" part off in this video edition. Watch the short version in the "Related Videos" bar and you'll hear it. It was kinda funny the way she said it, actually. lol

  • In my opnion, she tryied to move the toolbag away from where it was placed so she could clean that stuff behind it. Though she thought it was stuck to something in the ISS or to her clothes, that's why there was a hook attached to the tool and a cable, as you can see right after it flew away. Moreover, despite she knew everything not strung to something will be definitely lost if pushed, she took too long to try to grab the bag although it was in her vision field. Nothing but an accident to me.

  • Well, i think it goes without saying that this is exactly why female astronauts belong in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant.

  • poso zoon...

  • So this is where Sarah Palin disappeared to.

Why NOT make her an astronaughty?

She can see space from her backyard

    Dontcha know

  • Cosmic grease monkey

  • si me cae en al cabeza lo denuncio por millones y millones

  • Do they have a lost and found office in space?:)

  • Tenia que ser mujer jeje no es cierto, ... a cualquiera le puede pasar perder las herramientas en el espacio, a cualquiera ...

  • Why is everyone pointing out the astronaut's gender?

  • Agreed...

  • wonder if it is worth checking ebay out someone is gonna say they found them ...at least they didnt lose the main tool she was strapped to the space station....... lmao...pmsl

  • see what happens when you put women in space

  • pendejo XD perdio la bolsa..... y por eso la bolsa de USA se fue al coño.. y es un peligro para todos..

  • Maybe it will knock out a satellite. Junk of this size in a random orbit is a serious collision concern for other space equipment.

  • Stupid Female Astronaut Loses Tool Bag

I can think of one reason why a female astronaut would be useful on long missions and it definitely isn't to help with repair work.

Also, isn't it awesome to watch our tax dollars just float away?

  • Women... Sunita "Suni" Williams of STS-116 lost a camera in the outer space

  • What the FUCK were they thinking! She should be inside cleaning the sink and leaving this to a man, we always no where our tools are! Bitch back to the kitchen

  • Jesus Christ, every woman on the planet has a purse, and this dumbass drops it 24 miles straight down....NICE JOB!!!!

  • Losing your toolbag is not good. I think this will be her last flight in space.

  • a couple of blowjobs to the right dudes and she'll be right back up there

  • Not good enough on a spacewalk - as a SCUBA diver you learn to be aware of this... ocean currents make it harder!

  • why didnt she have her tools strapped to her in some way....woman

  • "She was the first woman to be assigned as lead spacewalker for a shuttle flight." And the last. lol

  • To the user of this video, Can you add the tags Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper to this video?

  • we can use a little more junk outthere

  • Was the bag push out of the way 0:57, 0:58

  • Houston we have a problem, they let the woman use the tools!

  • Shes clumsy, she got grease all over everything, and she lost the tool bag...... That is defenitly her last time in space

  • no, i saw an interview and she still goes in space

  • A serious breach of EVA protocol. She will never fly again...a bad screwup.

  • Strange they edited the audio and removed the part where she said "oh great" as she loses the bag.

  • Houston and Handy Manny, we have a problem! Tools are gone!

  • How stupid that is...

She acted like she was doing her stuff back home, and moved the bag away, but...

Guess what, anything released unsecured into space is gone...

It looks like the bag was pushed slightly towards earth, that means it will not have enough speed to stay airborne for a long time, but it will burn into the upper layers of the athmosphere.

  • Why dont she take it back , i think that tools can kill , i think a comet the size of a small rock can kill 200 plp just u think about it what the tools can do to you on earth ??

  • No people has evere been killed by a comet as far as i know. The only victim so far has been a dog. At least the last hundred years. The chance of you being hit by tools reentering earth must be like 0,00000000000000000000000

0000000000000000000000000000000001 % hehe:) (i have no idea). It will problably burn up in the athmosphere anyway.

  • Those things will never get to the ground, will burn up in the higher layers of the athmosphere as they enter it...

  • It would be a chic to lose a tool bag in space!!

  • Thank God she did not Drift away, Could you imagine the Drama of that ?

Probably a 2.5 Million dollar wrench kit floating around. LOL

  • She was secured to the station frame of course... They are secured like that all the time

  • Yea, just like that tool bag was supposed to be.....duhhh

  • LOL....my first thought was thank goodness she didn't instinctively go after it...and my 2nd thought was "hey how much did that thing cost us?"

  • Dough!

  • bye bye tools, i hope they dont land on my head :P

  • They landed in Alberta Canada at 5:20 on 20th Nov :D
