And a deep and heartfelt thanks that you would think to do something like this.
I live overseas and I have no way to get instruction other than youtube and what little I remember from string class that we had 2 hrs a week in public school that I quit after a few months because there was nothing interesting to play on the cello at my level. Even over the coming months I will continue to review and enjoy these posts.
Hi, I am learning the cello and have a question. What would the fingering be to play two ADJACENT notes on any two strings. Ie to play G on the D string and then D on the A string. Would I use my index and middle or would i just use my index and rest it across both strings?
David, thank-you very much for these videos. They form my home-page and it cheers me up no end to see how you've taken the time to do this for us budding cellists. I would like to say thank you till there's no more room on the server. But it will just have to be, you're a star.
Could you give us a lesson on the best way to sit and hold a cello? Sit all the way back on a seat and have your back straight? Or sit at the edge of a chair and have your body lean toward the cello?
thank you for your generosity. What a wonderful gift you are sharing with all of us cello enthusiasts. Thank you again.
i am a student...a very old student pursuing my dream....thank you so much for doing this..i just reviewed the titles and will watch all when time permits..however...the tuner one..talk 27 caught my eye as i have been doing this almost since i started 2 yrs ago and the results for me on all levels have been awesome.....i can't wait to hear that one especially.....thank you again for your generosity
Dear David-
Thanks so much for fitting this series into your performance schedule. It's a wonderful addition to my previous studies.
