  • When the USA allows sports games to pray in public and for public schools to pray everyday things will go better in this country. What's wrong with the ten commandments? It teaches not to kill, not to steal, to honor your father and mother etc. What is wrong with that?

  • McCain would have possibly won had he picked a running mate that most of us thought was a joke at first.

  • John Mcain and Barack Obama- Partners in crime.

  • John McCain has more decency in his finger thanall the peolple in the public

  • The president isn't elected they are chosen by the ruling elite... And the sheep follow, I'm glad to be a sheep dog and not a mindless sheep like most!!!

  • Why do so many Americans (and im not talking about all) resort to booing? If they disagree with something but seeing adults act like that really is quite pathetic. I think its a mob mentality. Being in a group gives them 'power' when in reality they are weak little sheep. Im not picking on the US. We have the same problem with dumb studio audiences here in the UK as well. A good example being the Jeremy Kyle Show.

  • McCain is an honest man, and I have a lot of respect for him. The thing about many right wingers (I'm a moderate keep in mind) is that their IQ seems to be so much lower, as well as their general tolerance level. It's so much easier to sway people with fear mongering on the right than on the left. Think of this: Insane terrorist militia groups who kill cops and blow up clinics or people who burn SUV's... I'd rather have people burn my car than kill police and doctors.

  • What a bullshit little lecture..

  • Republicans and Deomocrats dont have a seperate philosophy. For the past couple decades so far its been both partys saying the philosophy of Goverment is to collect tax payers money, bail out the billion doller corporations that need to go bankrupt, buid a military empire in the middle east, and federalise liberty.

  • If the Constitution was such a perfect document to begin with, then why are there amendments?

  • Obama doesn't respect the Constitution, he has stated that it is a "Flawed Document". The real mystery is why McCain is so much of an Obama supporter?

  • LOL...... THE CONSTITUTION IS A DOCUMENT THAT STATES THE RELATION AND RIGHT OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY AND STANDS A GUIDE FOR LIBERTIES THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC.... the ONLY JOB OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT TO TO REPRESENT WHAT THE PUBLIC AND GOVERNMENT DO....

  • Money is against the constitution?

  • She is referring to the bailouts, which are un Constitutional.

  • Coppied from marlonsmith

It's called 'promoting general welfare' The Constitution does say our government does have an obligation to promote the "general welfare" of american citizens. It's in the preamble!

If capitalism & greed has caused health insurance to become unaffordable, and people are dying due to it, then the Constitution says our government has an obligation to step in & protect its citizens

  • Bizzy: I think the Constitution was referring to having a good, happy, safe place for our citizens to make their homes..not a welfare state. If you wanna see an example of the latter come to New York...The less you do and the more you whine...the more you get! I work in an office that shares space with our local Welfare office, believe me, the clients are all better dressed than the hardworking employees over there. Character should be rewarded, not scorned. NOW we need change.

  • I don't think they were talking about a welfare state either, but the government should protect us from things. and if its corporations who ration care, deny coverage, and stand between you and your doctor, then the government should protect us. So are you saying that people on welfare make more money than you do? I find that hard to beleive. If its true, quit, and go collect welfare.

  • bizzy:the danger of rationed care isn't the problem w/corperations as it would be w/government run programs. Stop & think about it. #1 as it stands now, ANYone denied anything from their carrier has a right to first protest w/ them & then the gov't looks at it, as in arbitration when U get hurt at work & they dont want to pay. Try that when it is the gov't itself that is denying U.They want to cut back on Medicare to stretch the docs&$ for the new ones but these R the ones who pd in all (cont'd)

  • (cont'd) of their lives. We're getting BS'd re who has no healthcare. millions make over $75K & wont buy it, college kids who are off form age 19 til they get a job, illegals who have no right to be here, let alone demand.Sorry but my concern is for the ones who busted thier butts to take care of their families & our country. & no, I think U know I was not saying Welfare folks make more than we do, but their values are often quite different. U think twice about fashion when U work for the money.

  • McCain does the right thing for sure...People applauding such an ignorant statement like that just shows how against Obama people are. What she said made no sense, and people clap, then booed mccain for telling her she was wrong. These republicans can not be rational thoughtful people. THEY ARE INCAPPABLE OF CRITICAL THINKING. The left, and democrats are more analytical, and thoughtful. republicans just get angry, and scared, say dumb things, then people applaud. shows where they're at

  • bizzy: Yes, John McCain is a most decent man, he does not have the killer instinct & never goes for the cheap shot or the comment that would break a persons spirit & reputation. Like his politics or don't like them, thats everyone's right...but the man is a class act & that can't be denied. He gets kicked in the butt all over youtube for his bravery while induring 6 years of hellish torture for our country...but in his own words...Don't expect life to be fair. Thats ok, GOD knows what he did.

  • McCain is doing the right thing!

  • Will always admire and respect John McCain...would have been nice to have an America loving patriot in the Whitehouse...especially one who deserved to be there. But time heals all wounds...and wounds all heals.

  • lol, mccain? mccain who gave up american secrets while captive? lol give me a break.

  • Do you have a reputable source to back up that statement?

  • seaanthebond: No, that was a lie told out of deseration by a lowlife jerk who tried to make his littleman look bigger by making the scenery look smaller. Blessedly John McCain is too much of a man & too kindhearted to hate peole like him. Lets just pray that yourmaj never has to be continually tortured to the point of disfigurement ( yes the evil loons also make fun of him for that part too), only to have someone be small enough to try to deminish his bravery & sacrifice w/evil lies. God knows.

  • yourm: U will say anything to try to make your lillylivered leader look better by comparison, but U are only making BHO look worse & desperate. John McCain gave up NO secrets even during 6 long years of intense torture (much of the time the highest in command so he was the whipping boy) But as he openly admits ALL people break at some point if the pain is horrible enough for long enough. So yes he did once sigb that he was wrong to be a pilot for the USA against the Communist VC. But shame on U!

  • america loving patriot? i think we have one in the white house that is trying to protect all americans from the health insurance corporations (monopolies), and get uninsured people coverage. If we do what republicans want, eventually healthcare will be unaffordable.

  • McCain is lost about Obama, not a clue. McCain would also tear down the constitution, that philosophical crap as he puts it, is a lot of posturing .. They still believe they read better then we can folks ... The constitution was written for all and written simply so all could understand it.. Not just a few on the hill that believe we can't read!! I cannot even begin to understand that puffed up vanity!!

  • buddo1999: America's constitution is dumb, and is getting America into a lot of trouble!

  • wait a sec why are they all white?

i dont understand why they are all racists evil white haters at the GOP town hall meetings?

why dont any black come to the meetings?

  • The Left and the right are one club! McCain is wrong! Obama doesn't respect the Constitution!

    Ron Paul 2012.

  • i dont respect the constitution either.

  • I am proud of McCain, I voted for him, and worked for the campaign. Now, will make some calls for Huckpac. McCain handled himself well! I think he was the Wiser!

  • Boooo...I'm old, ignorant, and have to wear diapers....boooo

  • oh thats ok, aus1121...we can't smell you from here.

  • that townhall looks like a fucking nursing home...wtf?

  • if you listened...It was a SENIOR citizens meeting..thus the older participants. You know...the ones who paid with thier blood and sweat for the rest of us all their lives,...now obama wants to screw so he can spoil more lazy bstards who dont want to work...THOSE people!

  • "paid with thier blood and sweat" <-----what?... sign up to the service and get shot at just for medical benefits. lol...or worked building some railroad track?...lol, get the fuck out of here, you fucking loser.

  • yourmaj: If youre having trouble keeping a job and therefore your medical benefits...you might want to reconsider your vicious mouth and additude. But have a nice day.

  • John McCain...Class act...brillaint and a loyal American. And if anyone was paying attetntion...This 'old' man delivered @ a 50 minute speech FROM his own head, without dummyprompters..he gave fact after fact and figure after figure...and then he took questions and answered them with knowledge and clarity. Man did we screw up last November. Its not the perssons age....its their Character, intelligence, and love of country that should have counted. God help us!

  • Senator McCain is indeed a smart man and a patriot. He lost the election, however, because he let the out of touch, far right wing of his party change the essence of who he was and what he stood for. True character is holding fast to your ideals even when it is politically expedient to jettison them. God help us indeed from people who can't see past their own pettiness and recognize that, whatever our vote in Nocember, we have only one President and he is entitled to our support and loyalty.

  • I don't know, mdpoin. I don't think I'm petty, I try to keep my cohorts limited to fairminded people too. I have to say many informed, intelligent folks can see through obama & his plans for us. While I would never advocate violence of any kind to any elected official, if the world followed your thinking, we would never have gotten rid of the horrible leaders who's plans were radical & strongly opposed to their countries' principles. More Libs need to question BHO's motives, past & cohorts.

  • I hear you Pattycakesmiles. To my mind there is a difference, however, between disagreeing with President Obama's approaches to solving the mess he inherited, and likening him to a despot. The fact of the matter is, we are willing to give some leaders the benefit of the doubt despite the personal and public failings, while others are vitually demonized for far, far less. Not sure why that is, but it's a question each of us has to answer for ourselves.

  • mcpoin: I agree w/U re the inequity of leaway we give. You're right, there should be some equal standard. But I don't think we agree on who got the heat & who got away w/ "murder". The band of 'czars' Obama chose so they did not have to go thru vetting/ investigations of their pasts..curl my hair. The newest one is an avowed "radical Communist". When questioned re his knowlege of same, BHO's people put out a response akin to: "yeah but he's only working on the green thing". Obamas past haunts us.

  • Democrats don't carry guns or want kill people? What world do you live in? It's called planet earth...come join us.

  • John McCain is a Guy I Respect as well, Now will People Votes Against Him because He Respects Obama or will Others Start Respecting the Constitution and Stop the Nonsense, I hope Americans Understand McCain ain't a Loon like all the Other Conservatives Out there that want to Carry Guns and Kill People He don't play that game.

  • McCain would have gotten more votes had he acted a little more like this during his terrible campaign.

  • This is how Obongo got elected. I still can't believe McCain got the GOP nomination. This country is so screwed.

  • They booed? What do they expect him to say? Obama wipes his butt with the Constitution? Even John is a step up from the GOP neandrethals. I dont know how he puts up with the losers in his party.

  • I voted for Obama, but I love you, John McCain.

  • ignorence. as soon as that generation passes, our country will be a much better place.

  • as soon as your gen passes will be much better

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you John McCain for your honesty - I'm glad to see the straight talk is actually back. It was so sad having to watch you have to pander to those far right nutjobs when you were trying for the presidency.

  • i'm certain that no one in THAT crowd EVER actually read the constitution, let alone the precedents it has set.... what a bunch of old farts and idjuts...

  • The republican party is a scared, sad, old hateful party.

  • look at the crowd. a bunch of old white people who will be dead in 20 years and still think it's 1950. this world will be so much better off when this demographic dies off.

  • Very true.

  • One day you will be 20 yrs away from your death....and then the same will be said about you.... Hopefully you get the chance to live that long....You should have some repespect for your elders....but you were probably not taught that from your parents...too bad
