Chaka does look a little high or something, but she also seems like she was singing really high because of the way Fantasia came in. She didn't want to feel shown up on stage, so she was doing something to be extravagant, but it was a bit extreme. She was singing the first verse again up so high it was distorted.

Chaka seemed to be back on the Heron--and we have to give Fantasia her due--she is a diva of the first order and like most--she is eclipsed in her prime but will shine on, long after the Alicia Keys, Beyonces and trina's are a foot note.
I liked this colabo. I think Chaka did what she does and Fantasia did her thing in the most humble way not trying to outshine Ms. Chaka. I like Chaka's contribution to the song. She played with it but they complimented each other well. I LOVE the fact that Fantasia can hold her own when performing with ANYBODY without over doing it or trying to outshine or outsing them. That's what makes her even more loveable!!
To all who are criticzing Chaka: yes, she's acting high, but that's just chaka. She had her bout with drugs, but even when she was sober, Chaka acts very laid back and drowsy. And i dont see anything wrong with how Chaka sung. She sung the song in the traditional way that 1940s singers would sing it (this is a very old song). Fantasia did kick ass on this song too, though. Her and Chaka are a good combo.

Chaka was killing them low notes though towards the end they worked it out, but yes, was not too comfortable with Chakas accompaniment during the beggining, Tasia could have done just fine alone, but thats her idle so she was having fun. ;)
I don't believe Chaka was drunk, I do think that she was on some level competing through her gorgeous smile in front of her "industry friends". Unfortunately it got the best of her, as Fantasia was very much in control.

Oh Please....yall better be careful talking about Chaka. If it had not been for women trailbrazers in the music industry like Chaka, Whitney, Diana, Arthea etc, performing on stage...there would be no Fantasia! I love them both.

Chaka does look a little high or something, but she also seems like she was singing really high because of the way Fantasia came in. She didn't want to feel shown up on stage, so she was doing something to be extravagant, but it was a bit extreme. She was singing the first verse again up so high it was distorted.

Chaka seemed to be back on the Heron--and we have to give Fantasia her due--she is a diva of the first order and like most--she is eclipsed in her prime but will shine on, long after the Alicia Keys, Beyonces and trina's are a foot note.

I liked this colabo. I think Chaka did what she does and Fantasia did her thing in the most humble way not trying to outshine Ms. Chaka. I like Chaka's contribution to the song. She played with it but they complimented each other well. I LOVE the fact that Fantasia can hold her own when performing with ANYBODY without over doing it or trying to outshine or outsing them. That's what makes her even more loveable!!

To all who are criticzing Chaka: yes, she's acting high, but that's just chaka. She had her bout with drugs, but even when she was sober, Chaka acts very laid back and drowsy. And i dont see anything wrong with how Chaka sung. She sung the song in the traditional way that 1940s singers would sing it (this is a very old song). Fantasia did kick ass on this song too, though. Her and Chaka are a good combo.

Chaka was killing them low notes though towards the end they worked it out, but yes, was not too comfortable with Chakas accompaniment during the beggining, Tasia could have done just fine alone, but thats her idle so she was having fun. ;)
