is dat when you publish it? try going to the documents EAGames/Thesims2/Movies and checking if they're black or not - it may be your movie maker, if so try and download another movie making wizard

whenever you finish taking a clip there will be a long code like for example

so watever it says in the messege[every computer is different try writing it down,going in "my documents" and copieing it to the top and when one clip shows up click the arrow "back" at the top left of the screen youll see several,click the ones you want,drag them to windows movie maker,and they shouldnt turn out black!:)))))))

to get reflections in the mirrior go to option in the game, either the little gears icon or the computer screen icon, and there should be a button for reflections.

Try using the boolprop "testingcheatsenabled true" code and right click the plumbbob and choose hide me or right click the sims and choose spawn, paul's reaction tester. (it can make ur sims cry, laugh, yell, etc. all on command. That code works wonders for movie making. Also, it is good that you are careful about showing the sky while indoors. ALOT of people do that and are careless about how low-quality it makes their films look. I've only made three movies and i know better. Good Job!

There isn't a sims 2 movie maker. You press 'V' while in the game, and that starts the recording. You just open up the files in WMM & make your movie there. =]
