  • The growing African orphan population is heartbreaking -- however, each person can make a difference. One small way is on Facebook.

Join the Gene Smart Wellness fanclub; after Gene Smart gains 100,000 members, they will fund the creation of a house in Masoyi, South Africa for an orphan family.

Join today. Every person makes a difference.

  • thank God for people like you

  • they should get so many children if they life in the desert

  • btw, not all of africa is the desert. uganda is a lush, green environment with fertile soil better then you may imagine. Let's try not to talk about things we have no clue about alright? That comment goes along with anyone else who is painfully ignorant.

  • even if they dont live in the desert they shouldnt get 10 children.

and im not ignorant!!! i talk here with you if you recogniced. fact is that your solution: spending money, will never lead to succes. my solution: one child per family, like in china would be a great succes fighting poorness

  • You cannot compare this to China. Though extremely unstable towards it's poor, china still has an existing government... There are countries in Africa (like the one's I have personaly been to) where the government doesn't even know the people exist. Also, if you would pay attention, this organization doesn't just fight poverty.

  • The number one goal is to spread education. The AIDS epidemic in Uganda, Africa is stronger there than any other place in this world. Money won't help that, but education can. In fact, if we could get volunteers, it wouldn't be one bit about the number of children or money, it would only be about teaching them why they are dying off the way they are.

  • besides, most people only have 1 or 2 kids numbnutts, the reason why you see so many children to a family is because most of them are extended family. It will aunts and uncles taking care of every known brach in the tree, simply because the other parents have either died (life expectancy is 35 to 45 years) or abandoned them. So here again, you clearly have no idea what the situation is like there. Please don't argue about things when you don't know the facts.

  • Get thee back to that Stormfront website and sttay thare.

  • I don't even know what that means...

  • very inspiring video. Thank you.

  • I added the video to my favorites and to my myspace profile, i think this video is so awesome!! thank you for making it and sharing it on youtube!! keep up the great work :) I am a sponsor of a boy in Uganda :) you can see a slide show on my videos of him and his drawings and christmas cards :)

    Best wishes..

  • it would work if everyone of us was a sponsor of one child in africa. but in a few years when they become more and we less, we got to be sponsor of 2 children each. then 3, then 4, then 5, ... but unfortunately there will never be more food on earth than for 10'000'000'000 people.

Thats then the point when you cant feed all people anymore - even with all money on earth !!!! think about it

  • its true that not all of them can be saved...

but if 1 life can be saved, it is worth it..

i would rather save 1 instead of looking the other way...

the focus shouldnt be on "if all of them cant be saved, why bother at all"

  • and yes, I agree, even today there will ALWAYS be children who need help.. but wont get it... but it just doesnt mean that therefore people can just stop caring... I cant change the world, but I can change the world for one child!

  • its not that i dont care! if i now save one childs life. this one is gonna get 5 children, for which he hasnt enough food, so they will die. This way i would "kill" 5 children instead of one!!

The more children we feed, the more there will be and the more will die if help from industial country isnt increasing exponential.

  • If you understood the video you would have known the children are sponsored to go to school, allowing them to receive an education. Which helps prevent overpopulation. The sponsorship also allows the child to get at least 1 meal a day. The children who are eligible for sponsorship are orphans without families.

  • its very unfair to help some of them and the others not. The way it is today only the most poor people are helped. the one who look for themselves and have only 2 children dont get no help! thats unfair!!!! so i dont give money

  • i think its pretty clear we disagree.. and we will not agree no matter how much we fight

  • I was at a meeting of all the charities in Iceland.

They talked about the population getting bigger etc.. and THATS WHY its so importnant to step in!

these people dont use protection, and many of them havent even heard of it or dont know where to get it..

dont you think that in school they learn about that?

  • oh and I forgot, sponsoring one child, doesnt only help that one child. It also helps the family. Then there is a little bit more hope for them too, and there is one less mouth to feed. When the child grows up, he or she will be able to have a good job, bring money to the house and take care of his family. And for the first time, this summer, I gave the family a gift too.. they got food, soap and extra clothes for his siblings too.. :)

  • I am not only doing this for them or to save africa, the boy has become my "fosterson", I love him very much, as if he was my family... so I get alot from this too..

  • yes we will never agree like that

  • you know, the biggest goal in this is not just feeding people, this program focuses on education. AIDS education so not everyone is getting sick and dying off the way they are, and also real world education so that these people may support themselves, become prosperous even though their government is not, and one day (whether they decide to move out or not - which I know many that have gone to great britain and the u.s.)

  • maybe sponsor a child who is experiencing what they once went through. If we could not only feed them, but educate them, then their minds could truly turn their surroundings around. The real only way to help these people, is to show them through education, why they are going through what they are. If we can educate enough, then maybe they can become teachers, doctors, prosperous farmers, and maybe even government officials someday.

  • That is how we help to keep a culture that would die out otherwise.

  • Yes! Exactly! :) Like spoken from my own heart! :)

  • ok. but if in 2050 there are 20 billion people on earth, its not possible anymore to feed everybody, not even with all money on earth. thats why they should have a "one family- one child" system like china has. if china didnt have this system, they would die of having no food too!!!

  • Here again, it's not just feeding people. This organization goes above and beyond assuring people have more than clothing and good health. The main goal is Education! As the old proverb says, "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime." Here again, China is far better off then many places in Africa.

  • THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.

  • The website where this organization can be contacted from is www.children-of-grace.org. Thank you so much for your interest.

  • Children of Grace is a splinded project. Since they have a presence in Uganda, maybe they could cooperate with MannaRelief Ministries (MannaRelief.com) to distribute nutritional supplements to these children. Half the problem is getting the needed supplements in to where they are needed most. Good Luck.
