@timetolivecostoms tom between the corsair, silverstone , coolermaster 1200w , ocz 1250w 80 plus gol psu´s what would be youre choice ???? and any special reson why or just that you llike the brad
someone wants to trade me this 1200watt for my seasonic 750x series cause he doesnt need all the power and i want to SLI 480 and 750w is not enough for overclocking and everything you think this is a good idea on my part?
This guy is uugglleh! Its the dreaded combination of : clappy ears , nose to right , oversized skull on short hair , the gestique of a delirium tremens patient . Why does he have to be in the picture at all , Why cant it be just the product?
@TimeToLiveCustoms I had a feeling you wouldn't give a rational answer so ill explain to you again , with patience , my discontent with this channel :
-Why do you force me to sit trough 2:33 min of videoblog ?Why cant you get straight to the product?
Cant you make another channel if you feel like detailing your future plans. Your fans should follow you there if they want to see your face so much. I just want to see the unboxing here. Can you limit to just that?
@Luger718A1 Another person that doesnt understand anything. The lenght of a video is not the issue , its what's it filled with. At the moment this video is : part videoblog and part unboxing . Its the mixture of subjects that makes a channel bad. If you go to a local store to buy oranges do you want it to also sell you chinese backscratchers and cement? . This is the issue : its a mixture and its a bad mixture.
@Luger718A1 Its worked out really well dude, obviously unlike many I change my parts alot depending on what Ive got coming in, but it has worked faultlessly and taken all the abuse (twin 6990's tripple 580's ect ect) and not given me any problems what so ever.
wouldn't quite hear if u said you prefer your power supply fan up or down as ive been considering turning my hx650 over fan up in a 932 for bottom mounted
I used two of the mushkin Joule 1200W PSUs for my SR-2 Quad SLI Premier build and they worked wonderfully! The amazing thing is that you can buy about 3 Mushkin Joule 1200W PSUs for the single price of the Corsair AX1200. (I have used that as well) Mushkin answers the phone when you call also, etc, etc, etc. Definately a fine company. In fact, I have sold my Premier build and the only two parts that remain are my two 1200W PSUs in separate rigs. :) Great Review!
Better find a thick kettle plug...for the 1.2Kw you would be better off fiting a uk 3 pin plug on that supplied cable. thanks for the detailed look mate.
why Blue? Why not Mushkin green for the PSU connectors and Black for the mobo connectors.Doesn't make any sense to me. Either way, great review Tom, as always.
Hey that finish on the second one is amazing, never seen one like it before. Mushkin should make a psu with that finish, a 120/140mm fan that has 3+ colors (I have a fan in my rig that can change from "256 colors"), and fully modular. That would be phenomenal in my opinion. Especially if the rail switch makes a difference (I can't tell on mine). One last thing I found humorous; you got yours with a US cable, well I'm in the US and mine came with a UK cable, weird eh.
@LittleLegion hey seen your comment. if you want a good 1200w psu you cant go wrong with antec's true power. i've heard the corsairs had issues but i cant really confirm anything, corsair makes quality stuff. also the evga psu is a ripoff. its basically a modified antec true power with a big markup on the price. hope this helps.
After all the video reviews on youtube from ncix and independant reviewers, i find only Tom manages to make what should be a 5 minute video review into a 30 minute video, where we find out the stuff i'm not looking for like the colour of his first trainers..... but why on earth am i so bloody interested haha?!?!
top videos and great reviews every time, i'm told exactly what I want to know and is explained in detail keep them coming man!!
@GamerzForRealz I saw that video, for those interested it's from LinusTechTips' channel, and is wrongly titled P8P67 Deluxe 1156, not 1155. The link to NCIX doesn't return a product result, so no pricing available yet. Another retailer has it at $248.90 CDN, which is about what you'd pay for a 1366 board (though some of the latter are now in the $180-$200 range, including the very capable ASUS Sabertooth.) I also found an Intel DH67BL going for only $119.70. That's about 80 quid Tom.
hey guys this is a litle bit of topic but i got a question wich video card do you think i should buy for under 300 pounds around 450 USd cpu will be a 1090t doesn't matter if it is ati/amd or nvidia
the tagan bz series i had this switch awesome to split in-between single rail and multi rail when you combine the ampage is usually lower then it would in split mode.
Not sure how I like the fact the PSU isn't all modular. I typically expect PSU's in this range to be fully modular. Also, while the mirror surface is interesting, I feel it would finger print magnet. Also, I prefer to have the rails combined. Maybe I'm just not picking.
@1timby if you need a 1200W power supply in a rig all the attached cables will be used. 24 pin + the 8 pin is require for all setup and the 2 pci will be used for video cards. if not why would you buy a 1200w?
@lordmat666 Dude not the point. Most high end PSU are all modular. Makes the rig easier to cable and do cable management. You only have to worry about one cable at a time and can decide on the cabling order. I have a 1K PSU and it's all modular. I've been in the PC/Tech business for a long time and Mushkin has a long standing as a vendor that builds good products.
dude you're not sure about the turquoise colour on that power connector? you based your christmas rigs on that freaking colour lmao look at your gigabyte motherboards.
Hy Tom i`m new into overclocking, so i have a question. My current power supply only has a 4 pin cable for the cpu and my motherboard supports 8 pin. Will a 8 pin cable will give me room to overclock further?
@HeavyMetalBlaster go to xtreme power calculator, just google it. enter your parts and specs, then youll get the minimum psu wattage and the recomended psu wattage. hope it helps
