there's no way R.A. could hear the volume of the main output (the speakers directed towards the audience) from where he stood, and since he then logically must have ment the volume of the sound he Was hearing, which pro'lly came from his monitors (speakers directed towards himself, facing him on stage, to help him hear himself), the soundtech simply COULD NOT turn the volume of the MONITORS up, since that would most likely cause acoustic feedback (high-pitch beeping noise which rapes your ears)
