You have to wonder players in the USA, are more stronger and can jump a lot higher, however a lot of players can't shoot as good as European players.
You notice a lot of European shoot better ball than USA players. If you have constant zone defense, there is not much point in slashing into the ring all the time.
If you have say Kobe Bryant type of players draw double teams, pass it out to shooters.. Sasha, Vlad, all can shoot.

You have to wonder players in the USA, are more stronger and can jump a lot higher, however a lot of players can't shoot as good as European players.
You notice a lot of European shoot better ball than USA players. If you have constant zone defense, there is not much point in slashing into the ring all the time.
If you have say Kobe Bryant type of players draw double teams, pass it out to shooters.. Sasha, Vlad, all can shoot.

enough of this overrated, overhyped douch, the hell is wrong with this guy, he was drafted and given the privilage to play in the nba and hes bitching because he doesn't like the town hes gonna be playing in? there are guys in the d-league who play year after year in the summer league hoping just to get an invitation to some team's training camp, they would be more than grateful to to take rubio's place. what an ungrateful person, either that or his ass is just scared to play in the nba.

That is probably the opposite of what a rookie thinks, if anything, rookies get to prove themselves on a shitty team. why would he want to go to a good stacked team and be buried at the end the bench? no offense, but if you remember the draft, the t-wolves drafted I think it was 3 point guards, including rubio, that is probably a reason why hes throwing a fit about going to minni. he doesn't want to compete for the starting spot. in addition to not liking the teams market.

You're right, it's probably not as competitive as the NBA Development League. My mistake.
Rubio should be ashamed for wasting everyone's time before he declared himself eligible. I don't even like the Timberwolves, but they should have had the chance to get more with the 5th pick of the draft.

I'm tired of hearing about this kid... He talked big @#$%, but when it came time to get on that plane and get to the states, he backed out, bought himself some more time to step his game up so he doesn't look stupid in a grown man's league. i don't think he can hang with the big boys. . He's playing in a development league, playing AAA basketball. He can stay there for all i care. He would have been MANHANDLED in the NBA

You don't know what you're talking about. Euro ball is MAYBE comparable to college basketball. First off, because of the rules. The length of the game, where the three point line is, Zone D, and the length of the SEASON. NBA players play 82 games over 6 months and Euro ball they play what, 50 games over 8 months?
Euro players ATHLETICISM is very questionable, my friend. Even the Euros who are good (Dirk, Pau), are SKILLED, but they aren't going to out-muscle you. Rubio skills are a LONG way aw

also.. pros in europe are fully grown adults that dont make college player type mistakes.. lots of college teams play zone... and a big difference is the fact that refs dont blow the whistle in europe as they do in ncaa or the nba.. ricky is gonna be at the line alot when he gets to the league...
if you dont believe me ask any nba scout, coach, gm.. they will tell you euro leage is a step above the ncaa..
